I think there are some in existence already, floating around the site somewhere. I'll go double check and report back where, exactly!

How about reviving the friends-list in our profiles?

Well, currently the friend list is over in the blog (on the side panel). Just click "Friends" and you can add to your list or view whose list you are on.

I always have trouble because when I'm in one of the usergroups and want to go back to the main list, I cannot click the link at the top, as I would in the literary section (it links back to the community forums, I believe).

I would like the reply box in the main reply window to be much bigger (or have the option to have it bigger) By bigger I mean taller, this way editing and critiquing is clearer and you dont lose yourself with endless scrolling.

Has anyone given this any thought? Smile

I was wondering why no matter how many times I say "yes" to showing my email address it won't show up in my profile? and if you click on the "email" button under someones posts, it doesn't work. It just says, "This user does not wish to receive e-mail. Try sending them a private message." *pout*

The Friend's List->> I've given a lot of thought to reimplementing this as of late. My first priority when the site came back was to renew the focus on the literary end. With the Resources section added and the star system added, I feel like this has been done. So, it may be coming back in a couple weeks.

Amelia->> Yep, that's a problem I've always ignored, so I'll fix it up soon.

Phorcys->> I'll look into allowing the user to resize the window. If it can't be done, I'll go ahead and make it something like 25% longer.

Clau->> That I should actually remove as e-mail is disabled no matter what you do. The problem was that unscrupulous users (drytear.net for one) was using it to send people spam. Then there were the spam bots that collected the info. But, I know a lot more now about coding, so I may be able to work something out.

That makes sense! Well, then I suppose the feature [and the button] should be removed?

The idea of getting lots and lots of spam rather than being emailed when I am truly needed makes me averse to this XD

Hey, Nate, I have a suggestion.

Maybe we could have a Critique Newsletter? Like, people sign up for it then like every other week we could send an e-mail out to all the sign-ups with pieces that needing critiquing. Oh, and the people who wanted their piece in the newsletter would like post somewhere and tell you. I would be happy to handle it all; I have much experience with newsletters. : )

If you would like to start a critique newsletter and run it, that'd be a-ok with me! Unfortunately, there is no automatic newsletter subscription service that I can think of. However, it would be cool if members could start their own newsletters, so I'll look into it. There should be something somewhere out there...

Why? See, I never understand why people say this so an explanation would be helpful. Needless to say, I think it's a rather senseless thing to say since you are never forced to interact with the program and those who do so find the program to be pretty entertaining. Plus, the computer program is in a separate area of the chat, so you are explicitly able to choose to interact with it. It's akin to saying AOL should get rid of SmarterChild. It's there, it exists, but you are never made to interact with it. For that matter, it's like saying "We should get of hamburgers because I don't like them." Just because you don't like something does not necessarily mean it should be done away with.

In any case, I foot the bills so he stays Smile

I suppose you aren't too far into English classes to know how to back up your statements with examples? ^_~ Though, you are 18.... @_@

Fred is cool! He should try to kidnap people again, like he did that one day.

I can back them up. Fred is a bot on YWS. If a young new member were to talk to him, let's say a homophobic member (I'm not one so it's a hypothitical question) were to talk to him. Fred has asked me if I had a b/f that would make the homophob mad and start trouble.
