Is it left or right? Up or Down?
It's getting hard to tell.
People shrink away from all their friends,
And give themselves to drugs they smell.
They follow who they think is cool,
But say they're individual,
They give too soon,
And ask what happened to it all.
So what's up with you?
Am I like that too?

The world is inside-out and upside-down,
With out airplanes anchored to the ground.
We laugh at out leaders and follow clowns,
And every time I look around,
I wonder, "Where have we gone now?"

You give advice that you refuse to keep,
You never practice what you preach,
You want tolerance but can't tolerate,
You're unlearned but you still teach.
You try to tell your friends to do
Something that you know is wrong.
What kind of friend are you anyway?
Apparently not a good one.
So what's up with that?
Are you really so bad?

The world is inside-out and upside-down,
With out airplanes anchored to the ground.
We laugh at out leaders and follow clowns,
And every time I look around,
I wonder, "Where have we gone now?"

I loved it until this:

Heh. Perphaps it's just me. Sometimes repetition is cool...sometimes...not so cool.

Anyway, I don't precisely what the poem is supposed to mean. Everyone knows how bad I am at defining poems...even my own. However, it remind me of some ex-friends and I love poems about enemies or semi-enemies. They just act a little kick to poetry...

*Shrugs*

Hey, this should be in the Lyrics forum too. Heh. Thanks for commenting. I personally like repetition, or at least anaphora like that. Next time I'll put my poems or songs in the right place.
