Ok, like In the Moonlight's Don Quixote de la Mancha story this was for the same project. We were told what the story was about then we had to make our enterpretation of it if the story was to be based in 2008. Mine is a little more far fetched then others but oh well. Its more for entertainment really.

“Don Quixote de la Mancha” …in 2008

Everything in the neighborhood was normal until Louis Scranton moved in next door. He was not like other neighbors although at first glance he would appear to be. When locals went to welcome him they noticed right away that he was a scientist of some kind, for he wore a long lab coat.

“He had a bunch of posters with spaceships and faces of aliens on them. He even had a poster with a surfing alien thing,” said one of the neighbors when asked about Louis. Another source revealed that Louis was constantly in an upper floor know to be his observatory looking through his telescope watching the sky for nights on end.

When interviewers finally got a chance to ask Louis what he was doing he told them that he was looking for aliens. “They will come and take me away,” he declared, “…and I will return.”

Finding out about this obsession many found Louis insane. “There is no such things as aliens no matter what he says,” said another local. Two days later Louis began to act strange and appeared outside his house with his skin painted green. When Neil Saga walked by and saw him he asked him why he was green.

“They turned me green, the aliens. I was abducted the other night but they let me return.” Neil just laughed at Louis. A private investigator began to see Louis go through several mood swings. “He would cry, then yell, act scared or embarrassed all within a few minutes.” Stated the investigator.

Finally after a neighbor saw that Louis had changed his clothes into a weird wetsuit looking outfit they called a therapist. The therapist didn’t look too professional himself but he seemed to have cheered Louis up enough for another interview.

“I don’t care what other people think. The aliens will come back for me and they will welcome me with open hands!” said Louis confidentially.

Later that night a neighbor’s child reported seeing Louis pointing at the sky and being crushed by a satellite. When the boy was asked for his opinion this is what he said, “I am glad that he has moved on my mom said that I wouldn’t be allowed to play outside anymore. Also I remember him saying that the ‘aliens’ would welcome him with open hands, but I don’t think dropping a satellite on top of him is exactly saying welcome.”
