Simple Stranger

They never saw how she suffered…they laughed at her when she cried…

She put her heart in their hands and begged for forgiveness but they just threw it on the ground…

They never knew her hurt…nor did they care…

She was different now…stained and broken now…

You’re different now they said…we can’t love you now they said…

We miss you and we want you, but don’t come back now they said…

This house is empty now…you left us hurt and broken…you put us on the shelf she said…you left and we felt your presence was dead…we can’t let you in again for fear of being hurt again…you broke us babe we won’t let you in…

She suffered every day…she cried and slowly died inside…she couldn’t smile or feel happiness…not until he came…he came and there he was, but he became addicting like a drug…he filled her up and showed her love…the lobe she had been missing…she got lost in him…she relied on him…the thing she feared the most was losing him…she laid her burdens on his shoulders and he took them bravely and happily…but she feared for him…she feared the weight was too great…she was afraid of his escape…he stayed strong and true…he didn’t know he saved her from herself…the temporary problem she planned to fix with a permanent solution…

She pondered the though of being dead…if she were dead she couldn’t hurt them…they wouldn’t be tortured with the choice to take it all away she though she had a plan…they would never cry again or feel the pain again…she’d fix what she’d created…she’d do away with what she hated…

No longer would she cry…no longer could she hurt those she loved…

But there he stood shining like the sun…he took her hand and tried to understand…

He held her when she cried and never left her side…he saved her from her plans...he was someone’s helping hand…he heard her call from heaven and fell to help her get through it all…

If only she could tell him how much he means to her…how she’d cross the world and beyond for him…

They never saw how she suffered and they missed all her laughter…

They put her on a shelf…they told her they didn’t want her and now they’ve lost her…

And he caught her…
