I'm working on a three-novel project, and, for the sake of flavor, I want each chapter title to begin with the same letter. In this case, C. I know, it's silly. I want to do it anyway.

These are the titles of the three main books:
the Creation
the Conquest
the Champion

Inundate me with other "c" words! XD

Good Ones:
Capture
Conception
Cell
Coercion
Casualty
Court

Conception, copulation, coagulate, concoction, coexistence, coerce, cerebellum, color, corduroy.

Cerebellum was an odd one. Are you wanting mostly the hard K sound or also taking S sounds? I know you have a CH in your chapter list, but it's something worth asking. Because there is a difference in looking for the letter, and looking for the sound.

It's peculiar, but fascinating.

Good point. I'd prefer the hard "k" sounds, as well as "ch" sounds. The "s" sound doesn't match up as well, but I'd take a few good ones. In case it helps, this is for an epic fantasy.

Might I suggest just flipping through a dictionary for this one? You may find some words with some really cool sounds and meanings you've never heard of that way Wink

Cauldron, Cupboard, Candle, Chalice, Chalk, Copper, Clasp, Core, Curriculum, Cathedral...

But yeah, Via has the best suggestion. A dictionary is your friend!

You know, that thought had honestly not occurred to me! Can you believe it?

*facepalm*

I'd still like some fun words from you guys, though. My dictionary isn't exactly comprehensive. Or current. I received it as a gift when I graduated from elementary school into middle school. ( They gave one to everyone Razz )

Calendar, casualty, captivate, callous, candid, calorific (!)-I love that word. -circle (I know it's "S"), concentric, chapel, chimpanzee (!), chilling, cull, continue, continuous, contemporary, condescending, conceit, competition, creator, creature, crescendo, cheat, compelling, camera, court, courtier, celestial ("S" again) caramel (!) century ("S") concentrate, conglomeration, conclusion, coroner, council, counsel, collie (!), count, combine, conduct....

This is really fun. Also, cerebellum, Suzanne, was a huge help. Some of my main characters have the last name "Bellum" and I needed a name for the mother. "Cera" means wax in Latin, which fits her to a tee Very Happy
