You were always there when I needed you,

But never near when I needed you to hold me,

You were there to teach me to be me,

And I appreciate that.



Though you may be gone for long periods of time,

I always remember you are here in my mind,

Though at times we have our thick and our thin,

We always find a new place to begin,

We have our ups and our downs but never do forget,

The days we spent so funny and ignorant.



You bathed me when I was born,

And even cut my cord,

Now you take me lots of places,

That we can afford.
