BenedictionofGrace, I don't think it would matter much if it was you or I who got 'aborted'. Think
about it this way: the baby hasn't even been fully developed anyhow. It has no functioning brain or
anything like that (or so I think, I'm guessing). You wouldn't care whether you were aborted or not.
You'd be dead. Besides, abortion can be a blessing, even if it is controversial. Imagine if they knew
that the baby was going to end up killing you or something horrible like that. Also if you didn't get an
abortion, the baby would eat up your life. You coudn't possibly maintain a baby at a young age and
school, or a career. You'd drop out of school, and let the baby take over your life. Doesn't seem very
dandy and happy to me.
Sounds like a whirlpool with despair at the bottom. |

Guys, can we PLEASE not turn this into a debate? You want to do that, join the debate group, find the old topic, and start it up again.
Anyway, this was decent. People have already made most of the points I intended to. Also, you lack actual sources and facts. Give us information that will help your argument and go against the opposing one. I reccomend going to the knowledge base where...erm...I think it was Snoink that posted and excellent guide on persuasive writing. Read it. That'll help you. |

To me, this piece is only opinion. And that's just fine because everyone has their opinions on different matters. This is a bold subject to speak on and you did very well at making your points clear. It’s a very well thought out and written piece. I liked it a lot.
With that being said, I would like to state my opinion on this matter.
I believe that "abortion" is murder. In life, your choices make you who you are. They either make you or break you. If you go through life, making decisions that you regret, then the certain outcome is most definitely harsh punishment in your own eyes. People who choose to get pregnant before they wish to SHOULD accept their consequence, just like everyone else. You may think that people don't "choose" to get pregnant. But, truth is, they chose the path that led them to it. So, in turn, it's their responsibility. A living soul is NOT, by any means, punishment. It’s a miracle. And those people, who are blind to realize, are missing out and causing more pain then should be acceptable. Abortion is MURDER! I am 100% against it.
Victims of rape are in a different category. Rape victims should give their baby up for adoption if they’re unable to take care of the child. I know someone is was a victim of rape and she did keep the baby. Not everyone is that lucky when it comes to circumstances. I also know many people, including my aunt and uncle, who couldn’t have children of their own. They adopt and love other’s children as their own flesh and blood. Lots of people wait years for a child to love as their own. Adoption is a much better solution, in my opinion, to abortion.
