Setting: Time period unknown. Taking place mainly on the island of Helio.
Background: Helio is an island, roughly the size of Portugal, that sits well hidden in between Europe and Eastern America. There are strange mythical races that thrive there, and the only humans who live on it are those who accidentally landed there on a cruise, or are ancestors of those who escaped shipwrecks and such. It is governed in a Monarchy by Queen Heliotrope.
As you can imagine, they all live in fear of some explorer from another country discovering their well hidden sanctuary and the chaos it would birth if word got out about this desirable piece of land.
People: The 'people' of Helio include homo sapiens, Elves, vampires, werewolves, fairies, and drachea masillis (a terrible, man-eating beast).
Now: The peace on Helio has been disrupted by another arrival of cruise-escapees. This time, it may not go unnoticed, as evil thrives, though hidden, among several newbies.
You: You have the choice to be any member of any race mentioned above, or a new arrival. When writing your character profile, please use this format:

-No, absolutely no degrading language towards others
-No heavy sexual content, please (a little is often enough in these matters)

PERSONALITY: Quietly confident, with the belief tha he can do anything required of him. He's generally polite to everyone, and prefers to solve problems with diplomacy than with violence. The song that would represent him is Panama by the Cat Empire.
BACKROUND: The son of a retired English explorer, he always wanted to see the places his father had told him about as a child. Although he couldn't have the thrill of discovering them and mapping them out, he still began to visit them in his mid-teens. He had been on a cruise from England to the Americas in the hopes that he could see what he was led to believe was an untamed west. |

Background: born in Alaska, but moved to Rome at the age of 9. he had gotten into a fight with his older brothers and somehow woke up in Helio (this isn't unusal in his family  ); is able to use magic, but isn't very good at it since he only started learning a few weeks before he landed in Helio; and of course, up for love ^^ |

Personality: bubbly, sweet, loves young children. She does rebel though, when something doesn't feel right and can have an awful temper if you do something to make her mad. Few people hate her, though. All-around loveable. A song to represent her when happy would be Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield (I know, a little corny) but when angry that changes to Riot by Three Days Grace.
Background: she and her mother were banished from an all fairie island when she was three and they came here. She doesn't remember almost any of it and doesn't even care about that. She's definitely up for love. |

Appearance: Bright red frizzy hair, violet eyes, extremely tiny frame, short, very petite, pointy ears, pale skin.
Personality (you may list some of their favorite things, a song that represents them, etc.): Shy, however, if someone gets in her way she's not afraid to confront them. Careful, has trouble making decisions, generally stays by herself.
Background (where from, magic-user, up for love, etc): Andrea grew up in Helio. Her parents were murdered by the drachea masillis when they tried to protect some humans. As a result, Andrea has much contempt for the human race, refusing to accept them. She stays by herself on the western part of the island, isolated from the other elves. However, there is always the possibility of a human changing her mind, they just have to be persistent. Andrea's magic is levitation, she can move objects with her mind easily. She also trained in martial arts and is good at defending herself. She rarely interacts with other beings but if she meets someone, she will find herself up for love. (A part of her wants to become part of a community but a part of her doesn't) She's torn between both. |

Personality: Quiet and intrapersonal. Very regal and stately, and extrememely kind to others. She loves to sing, and has a beautiful voice that is almost hypnotic. She thinks everything over very carefully. 'Listen to Your Heart' by Dht best describes her.
Background: She was borne to Jayla Hiif, and an unknown father. Her mother died in childbirth and she was raised by her older brother and his wife. She can use magic, as all elves can, and she uses it regularly. She specializes in control over the four elements (air, water, earth, fire). She can also see a person's "aura" which shows their personality. She is up for love. |

Wears two pistols on his waist for self defense, and a large blade on his back for more "problamatic" confrontations. has magical powers only within the control of fire, but has a high talents within that.
personality: quiet and kind, he keeps to himself. He helps those in need, but sometimes takes things too far. violent with anyone whe disrespects those who do not deserve it, he starts plenty of fights, but will not harm women. Has an unusual soft spot for them and easily influenced.
backround: rejected by his own kind because of false accusations of murder, he wanders the edges of the island, usually helping the newcomers to adjust to the new land.

I watched warily as the ship touched the dock. The cool breeze blew my hair as I observed the passengers depart from their cabins and position themselves along the deck.
"Welcome to Helio!" Counselman Hoffchik shouted in his booming voice. The other Heliopians shivered. Could they sense it, too? That sinister feeling about the ship. Especially because it was called, The Demon.
Queen Heliotrope stood behind Counselman Hoffchik, and motioned for him to step aside. Her regal bearing made her quite intimidating.
"New arrivals to Helio, I am Queen Heliotrope, daughter to the reknowned King Haramman, and sole heir to his throne," she said. "Please come down, so that I may speak to you more clearly. We shall not harm you."
One by one, the new arrivals came down. |

"Hey Delia." I whispered so I didn't scare her. "Do you really think she isn't going to hurt them?"
