If I Were The Fairest
(Chosen sin: Envy)

I dress on the endless chains of roses,
dragged out from Hades's deepest chasm.
I will trample your dreams of Paradise,
to reach the place where you are.

The fruit which I sink my angry fangs into
reflects the happy smile on your face.
Is it a way to soak my heart
In the juice of shamefulness?

If I were the Fairest,
I would reply your proud smile.
I'd love to see the shocked expression -
Crumpling your face -
And tearing yourself away.

If I were the Fairest,
I would crush your heart into a million pieces.
I'd love to see your eyes widen in disbelief,
And fade away in front of me,
With your once-beautiful, butterfly-like wings
crumbling into dust.

And yes, my dear, there is no escape from me now -
Because another will surely die tonight.
