Hey This is a tough contest haha
In your example story the sideline is only touched on very briefly, is this what you want for the entries or does it have to be more contact than two short viewings ??

As much as you would like. As long as I see some story for them, it's fine. I can learn it in ten views, or one.
Pretty much write a story and stick some random background character in there.
