This isn't really *news* but, I had nowhere else to put it.

I was flipping through a magazine called Writers Yearbook 2008, by Writers Digest and there was an article called 101 best websites for YOU! and in the article was... Young Writers Society! Yay! Very Happy We just got our fifteen minutes of fame! Very Happy

Sorry, this is so random, but I was excited!

Go YWS! Did you happen to see if we were near the top? It would be interesting to know where we feature exactly in the top 101.

That's so exciting!

Is there any chance you could scan the article (or at least tell us what number YWS was)?

Well it's good to hear we made it into the 2008 list! I forgot to apply this year. Check out our Wiki for the last two times we got in:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Writers_Society

In 2007, we were the only web site dedicated solely to young writers on the list. The list of 101 top writing sites is not ordered, except by alphabet.

Sorry, I don't have a scanner. As Nate said, it's ordered alphabetically.

This is what it says:

Quote:
youngwriterssociety.com
Created for the young writer, this site is an online community where kids, tweens, and teens can share work, chat, create a blog, join usergroups and much more. The site also has its own monthly publication called the Squills E-zine, compiled of members' work.

There were also symbols next to the little description of YWS, the symbols that YWS recieved were:

a person talking: chat
a golden award thingy: contests
a pen: critiques
and an F: forums

The mention of YWS was put under the category of Writng Communities

Oh, three years in a row.
