Mine shouldn't count... I kind of give myself points...
Anyways, that shows that you're probably more active than most people in the parts of this board that matter the most: stories, poems, misc. work. However, it should also be noted that the points you see that people have are not neccessarily indicative of their entire point score because they are donating lots of their points. There's one member who has a listed point score of around 200, but if you add in their donated points, it shoots up dramatically. |

| What's this whole point system about, anyway? |

Another reason is you've posted more new topics than others. A lot of people either don't have as much as work, or seem to comment more on others and not post their own.
But donating is probably the truest point; I donate a lot of mine, as it's very easy to receive points so why not give them away? It's not as if they are worth much.
And remember, it's the Christmas season, the season of giving! |

| Tessitore->> The points system is used to help determine the Member of the Month each month. But it's mainly there to encourage people to review and post stories/poems. |

| heh. i would donate mine but i just dont really know who to donate them to...you know what i mean? i have some 969 points or something like that but i dont really care because i know that doesnt matter. anyways, i think the reason why i have so many points is because im slowly putting everything i have written on here. i have been writing since i could hold a pencil in my hand...you should see my closet....i have notebooks upon binders upon papers upon floppy disks...you wont believe how much i write. anyway (sory, im getting off subject here...*focus* *focus* *focus, Morgan*), i would donate my points but if there isnt really any reason for them, why share them if they dont matter for you or anyone else? i guess its just the sentiment behind it...*shrugs* |

Yeh, it's the sentiment.
It's like, just saying, thanks for reviewing my story and for your ecnouraging comments, have 50 points. It just backs up your thanks for what people have done.
Or you might see a really great story you enjoy, and think to further encourage the writer, you'll show how much you like their writing by givign them so much points.
They many not be worth much, but it's the thought that counts. |

| I have less points than most of the newer members (I am new myself anyway) because I am not very good at critiquing poetry, and so I don't do it. I focus on the stories. So I can't actually get points from every thread, unless I really wanted to give advice that meant nothing. |
