This is a Princess Bride based contest. The submissions can be either fiction or poetry.

This contest will run from January 13th-February 13th Exclamation

Rules:
One: All work must pertain to either the movie The Princess Bride or William Goldman's book that the movie was based upon.
Two: Only one submission per person.
Three: No more than 600-700 words per submission, but there is no minimum. Poetry should be less than 6 stanzas. Keep in mind that longer stories will - or at least should - have more detail, so they generally are more interesting. (If your story/poem GREATLY demands a few more words be put in, then I can make exceptions.)
Four: The story/poem must include only characters from the movie or book. At least one note-worthy quote from the book/movie must be used from each character. (For example: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. Twisted Evil )
Five: No unneccessary profanity. Let's keep this a G, PG, and mild PG-13 contest.

There are no restrictions on plot, but be reasonable based on what you know about the characters.

PM me your submission with the title "Princess Bride contest submission"

Prizes:
First Prize: 500 points or 5 critiques.
Second Prize: 300 points or 3 critiques.
Third Prize: 100 points or 1 critique.

You can tell me after the contest is over how you prefer to be rewarded.

Let me know if I missed anything. Smile

Ready....Set.....GO! Arrow

WELL....no entries means no winners.

Too bad YOU didn't enter, you would've won 1st place by default.

Oh well, can't win them all.

I wish I would've saw this sooner. I loved Cary Elwes in the Princess Bride.
