Well, the title pretty much tells all. The object is simply to write a fairytale, there are however, a few rules.

RULES:

1. Must be in story form, not poetry.

2. Must be fairly short, not more than few pages.

3.No conbining other fairytales to make one, use all your own characters and ideas please. (you may use use things that are found in a number of fairytales: witches, poison apples, fairy godmothers, and the like)

4. May take place in any part of the world, at any time except for the present.

5. Be creative and have fun!Wink

PRIZES:

First place: three critiques

Second place: two critiques

Third place: one critique

If you are a winner, please let me know when you want your piece/pieces critiqued.

Accepting pieces from January 6 till end of contest. Contest ends April 20. Results will be posted here and winners will be notified.

You can PM your pieces to me, or just post them here. If you do post them here, at least PM me to tell me where they are.

Happy writing!

Exactly! But if there aren't enough people interested, it will probably be canceled. Sad

OK, Ok! I won't cancel it! But the date will probably have to be extended. I have a question that you might be able to answer: Say I wanted to put something like, 'check out my fairytale contest' in my siggy... how would I make it blue, you know, so you could click on it?

Let's say www.youngwriterssociety.com is your link, ok? And you want the words Awesome Site! to be in blue. What you'd do is this (only without the spaces):

Awesome Site!

Does that make sense? It took me a really long time to get a hang of it. ^_^
