All the characters are at the edge of the island now except for the djinni whose master has been killed so he's waiting to be summoned back.

Amber

It wasn't long before Tranquility and I caught up with the group and together we were all able to avoid the scientists but as the night grew closer, a figure was seen by the water. A few members of the group went forward to talk with him but I hung back until I realised that they really weren't getting far.

"Hey you," I said, hovering forward, happy to be back in my own body. The guy turned towards me slightly, his features masked by the dim light and I didn't realise that he was standing on a small shard of ice on the water until I had floated across the sea to reach him.

"Yes?" His voice was firm and brisk, laced with a confidence and almost nonchalant tone. He sounded like my brother and I had to suppress the urge to strange him.

"We need out of here okay. Can you help us or will we be better off taking our chances hiding in those cages on that boat?" The figure turned and looked across at the boat, as if he could make out the deck in this light.

"Both. I can drive the boat if you're willing to trust me."

"It doesn't seem like we have much of a choice," Asher said.

"I agree," Trent said, "but the only problem is getting onto the boat. The whole place is crawling with patrols."

"I have an idea." Everyone looked at Asher. "We will swim to the harbor, staying as close to the cliff as possible. Once we're at the docks we quietly take out a few guards and take one of the boats." Asher waited for everyone's response.

Katrina -

A few nods surrounded me. We knew it was our only chance out of here. Otherwise, we were all sitting ducks. If there was one hint of doubt for the plan, then it was soon replaced with the fear of the gaurds and their dogs that I heard approaching. Asher started talking about our tactics. We would soon be going in.

"Alright, this is what I propose." Everyone huddled around Asher to hear his plan. "We will scale down the side of this cliff until we hit the water, at which time we will start to swim toward the docks, using the rocks in the water as cover from spotlights and sea patrols. Once we get to the docks we split up, Amber, Lana and Katrina will make up the first group and the rest of us will make up the other."

Asher turned to Katrina. "Katrina, when you three get onto the docks I want you to manipulate your shadows to draw one of the guards close." He turned to Amber now. "When the guard is close enough, Amber will take over his body." He faced Lana next. "If you three get into any trouble on your way to the boat, I want Lana to use her powers to take out the guards quickly and quietly."

Asher faced everyone else. "While the first group is making its way to the boat, the rest of us will be swimming under the docks. We will wait in the water beside the boat until Amber's group gets into position. When Katrina, Lana and Amber are on the boat, they will throw a ladder over the side for us to climb up. Once we are all on the boat we will hide in the ship's hull for a while, and when we are far enough from the island we will take control of the ship."

"Any questions?"

Amber

"No, sounds good to me," I told him. There was a scattering of nods and no one appeared to have anything against the idea so we all set off down the side of the dliff. We moved slowly, frequently pausing as a search light passed over us or one of the group slipped on the rocks and we'd freeze to see if the guards had heard.

The sky grew darker and our journey became more and more perilous. Towards the end, we found ourselves waiting for the search lights to come so that we could map out the next section of our route and then take a few more steps before cowering and waiting again.

During this decent, I began to realise something. As time passed, my body was taking on more substance and it was becoming a physical task to move through objects rather than around them. Instead of having to will my body to be solid, it was the other way around; I had to will my body to not be solid. What had they done to me?

"Okay, that's close enough," Asher said. "Let part two commence."

Lara, Kristina and I set off towards the boats. We crouched low and after a few metres, stopped and hid. Then Katrina's shadow slithered across the wooden boards and the footsteps of a guard could be heard.

"Who's out there?" he asked quietly. "That you, Jim?" I willed my body to lose its substance and waited until he was just around the corner, then floated through the corner and directly into him. His body struggled briefly but I soon had control and I rounded the corner to meet the others, turning off the flash light in my hand.

"Ready?" I asked.

Asher led the rest of them under the dock. They were sure to swim quietly so the sounds of their movements would be masked by the small waves splashing against the docks. Asher held out his hand to signal everyone to stop as two guards walked overhead.

"You hear about the breakout in the institution?" on of them said.

"Yeah, I heard every one of the experiments escaped and now they're running around the island somewhere."

"I hope the higher-ups do something about it soon, I'd hate to run into any of those monsters."

Asher repressed a growl. He hated anyone referring to him as a monster. When the guards left he signaled everyone to start following again. Once they made it to the ship they waited beside it for Amber and the others to finish their part of the operation.

Katrina-

I watched as Amber slithered into the gaurds body.

"Hey, Andy. You gunna get on the boat or what?" I heard a voice say.

"Yeah, we should leave soon. Some of those monsters escaped. Don't want them to get on the boat." Another voice said. 'Well, we would have already been on the boat if it wasn't for you two,' I thought.

I looked at Lara, looked like we might have a little more action then I thought.

Bascially, they've all escaped the institute place and headed towards the edge of the island where they've spotted a boat and plan on stowing away on it until it's out at sea and then taking control. If you read from Dynamo's post on the 27th Jan downwards, it should now make sense?

Amber

"Yeah, yeah, I'm getting on the boat. Just checking the docks are clear," I called back with Andy's voice.

"Well are they?" One of the men asked, a hint of apprehension in his voice.

"No, there's two of them experiments with me and I'm stood here chatting with you. Of course they're clear! Now get over here and help me untie this line, some fool's made a right mess of it," I hollered.

"Hey, I tied that," the other voice protested.

"Then you can go down and help Andy out."

"It could take all three of us now come on or we'll never get away from here."

Katrina-

I heard the approaching footsteps. Smart move, Amber. I could see my shadow shifting with excitment.

*sorry, all I got. Really sucky post.*

(Lana's supposed to be up on the docks helping Katrina and Amber get onto the boat by taking out the guards with her telepathy. If you could edit your last post, Layleun, that'd be great.)
