Wow, we are getting philosophical arent we?
Personally, I'm going to have to think about this for, oh, maybe a millenium before I decide. On the one hand, we have all the wonderful (if idealistic) arguments for pens- writing, after all, is an expression of the soul, which a sword sort of isnt. Although a well-made sword...I mean, you know, a sword can be a work of art, whereas a pen can create a work of art...though in a fight, a sword would probably be a teensy bit more effective...
Never mind about the millenia. I've made my decision.
Viva la pen! |

The pen is stronger. It can perform uh.... multi-tasks while swords can only do only thing- kill people. |

The pen is mightier than the sword - for one quote made my mind up about that - i read it the other day in one of the classic books, but i cant remember which
"The right man with the right word in the right place can do more diplomacy than an army"
Words involve pens
Besides, you can have all those different types, biro's and ink pens and gell pens and fluffy pens... what more needs to be said? |

| I think the pen is "mightyer" because you can taint a bounch of peoples minds with it, and with a sword, you have to hurt people one at a time.. It it was between the pen and the h-bomb, however.... |

| The pen for sure. It controls the destiny of all, including the sword. |

| technically, the sword is mightier, because it can cut a pen up into little peices. but, how many pens are cut up with swords and how many people actually want to spend the time to cut one up? It is a waste of time. See, it depends on how you look at it. |

| Sword. You can't write very well when you're dead, now can you? |

| The pen. You can fight for years and years and never get your point across, yet one good written statement can solve the problem in mere minutes. |

The pen, obviously. We are writers, no?
And you could stab somebody with a pen. Maybe put some sort of poison in there instead of ink......the pen is a very mighty weapon and tool. |

Now see I think a pen could cause more damage. And I think the people with the swords go by what the people with pens think. THE PEN IS MIGHTIER!!!
But if your biggest enemy comes to your place with a sword and the first thing you grab is a pen you might be singing a different tune. |
