Happy Birthday YWS! Time to increase your media.
Here it is, YWS is going to have a Download center pretty soon and who is going to fill it with wonderful things people want to download? Us!
You mission, Because you have no choice but to accept it, is to create a background with the theme of YWS as your inspiration. This means you are open to use the YWS fanfics, writing, art, monkeys, SPEW, CCF and even dragons. Anything related to YWS is up for grabs!
There are two categories, Normal screen and widescreen. In general the following rules apply to both categories:
1. All work must be 100% original. You may not use images from the Internet and manipulate them. If you do, I will know and you will be disqualified. Photos may be used as long as you took them.
2. There is to be no profanity, no violent images and no sexual images. In other words, you must submit work of a "G" rating. If you wouldn't show it to your mother, don't show it to us.
3. You may only submit one entry in each category. So you may enter twice in all, one in the Full screen and one in the Wide screen. Both images should be original. Do not submit your full screen in widescreen format
Now for the category specific details.
Fullscreen
All full screen entries must have the dimensions 1024x768 pixels.
Widescreen
All Widescreen entries must have the dimensions 1280x800 pixels
Entries must be submitted by November 16th, 2007. The winner will be announced the following day on the 17th. To submit, simply attach your image in JPEG format to a PM and send it to me. If you are entering both categories then send two PMs.
One winner from each category will be selected based on originality, creativity and following the rules. all entries will be available to download from the download section of YWS and the two winners will recieve a 3D model of a space fighter named after them. So there will be two fighters in all.
Judges are, myself, Snoink and bubblewrapped.

I think you might want to clarify the fact that you can enter twice in total; once for wide screen and once for full screen. At least that is what I understood...
I'll try to make something! That's not a lot of time and...I''m busy. XD And we can't use online images? That's going to make this hard. ><

| Ooh... I'll try this... A question: Will it be possible to submit backgrounds for possible inclusion after the contest? Or will these be the set in stone only backgrounds, except for ones made by mods?

Could I ask you all to just add the images as attachments to your posts. Photobucket resizes them. While If you just upload them to the posts the dimensons don't change.
