I'm stealing Matt's idea, and posting a Have a Rant topic, only this one is only for NaNoWriMo related issues. Very Happy

Okay. Ready, set, rant!

Arrr!!!!
I am starting to dislike the story.
It's like, gosh, I wrote it so plainly and badly...I really don't know what's happening. I mean, I terribly hate my second chapter, which sounds forced and just is...

So what should I do?

(Plus, I am 3800 something, so that's bad..)

Gadi, I'm sympathetic.

I hate the two main characters who I've written so far.

XD

So naive and smart and talking without contractions.

I still have no plot beyond two scenes.

I really don't know what I'm going to do at all once I finish this second one. And I think by then I'll be at... hum, about 3000 words? Yeah.

I. Cant. Write.

At all.

My characters are not behaving as they should, half the damn word count is taken up by my blathering about the religion (which is mental), my dialogue stinks, my plot actually exists but is hell to write, and I get bored and do info-dumps instead of proper writing.

I came so close to quitting this morning. Exams have really tired me out and my self esteem is rapidly dying >.<

Two words: inner editor.

*stab*

Not to mention I wrote an ending in which the main character says it's Christmas Day... and three hours later it's somehow May 17th.

*stabs self*

My characters are getting a head of me and doing things that I don't want them to do yet. So my fourth chapter is a back story on Quietus just to waste time before they discover other exhibits.

I'm also confused as to what day and time it is. Maybe i can make that work for my characters since they are trapped in a room with no windows and can't really tell anyway.

That's kind of funny, because a couple of years ago one of my friends did a nano based on people being stuck in a room with no windows.

I feel like I'm doing pretty well - though I'm a little unmotivated right now, but that might be because I just woke up - but my writing buddies really don't seem to be into it, which means I have to pester them and sound annoying. Oh, and if they give up, I have nobody to have mini write-ins with (or go to the bigger local write-ins with).

My biggest trouble is motivation. As in, I don't have any!! Yikes!!

Also, I'm writing like, 7 different stories, so I'm having a shit ton of trouble keeping track of my stupid characters. GAH!!! Why is reincarnation so freakin' difficult?!

I. Suck.

It's official. I would probably take up most of your time by ranting about every single thing in my NaNo, but I'll be slightly kinder.

* I hate my characters.
* They hate me.
* I'm WAY behind on word-count.
* I have a massively important exam tomorrow and I've lost the books.

And that's within the first few days of November. What am I going to be like later in the month?!

I have a back scene to write.
I don't know what should happen next.
The story's almost done (I think) already.
I type too slow-
AAAAAAAH!

I didn't write yesterday. At all. Sad

I went out with friends. It was a lot of fun, but then I just never got around to writing.

My story also is turning out to be much dialog, which is not a bad thing per se, but when that's pretty much the whole thing, then I think a few actions are appropriate. Ah, well. That's what editing is for I guess.
