|
|
First sentences are always really important and even if you're planning to change the way you open your story post your first sentences in bold
For inspiration, I opened Maximum Ride by James Patterson and fell in love with the first sentence:
| Quote: |
The funny thing about imminent death is that it really snaps everything into perspective.
|
Now, as for MY first sentence:
"I stepped out of the car, the gravel crunching beneath my feet, and followed mother into the familiar house."
Not as exciting but...what about you guys?

| The bodies lay frozen across the marble floor. A silvery glow hung in the air, which mingled with the overpowering stench of death. |

| I 've only written 411 words today and I'm soooo tired of this story already. Hopefully I might get to the target. |

First thing is the quote:
“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
- C.S. Lewis
Then the first sentence:
Our parents all gave us Biblical names.
*
Some of these are really good, you guys! |
