I want to get some of my short stories and poems published in a magazine of something, but I don't know of any in Australia. I've been looking and looking and looking, but I can't find any.

Does anyone know of any writing magazines in Australia?

You dont need to find ones in australia; most magazines are mailed/emailed. Try the American Literary Review, or Agni, or this website-- www.newpages.com/npquides/litmags2.htm

Yeah, what about online e-zines? They have reading audiences and often pay.

Good luck Choco, there arent very many in Aus, and because of that, those that do exist are very selective. Persistance is the key, I suppose.

Or you could try "The writers' yearbook." I think that the 2008 one is out now, if you can't find it in a bookshop you should be able to get it online. That gives lists of writing magazines etc and all the contact details. Not sure about Australian magazines though...
