"What's that?!" Alise asked Gerard.
"Its a message from my brother, it means he's fine."
"Oh," Alise stabbed a creature in the neck while still staring at the light.
Alise looked away from the light to Lethero. Oops, mistake. As soon as her gaze met his, his lips swooped down upon hers and he kissed her.
It was all she could do to pull away. There were more pressing matters at hand, and she wasn't sure she like Lethero that way. |

Gerard continued fighting off the demons, waiting anxiously for another message from his brother or for Nathaniel to emerge from the fog. Neither happened, and Gerard was beginning to worry for his sickly twin.
Gerard glanced over at Alise and scowled when he saw her kissing the man, Lethero. He felt the sudden urge to punch him in the face but resisted it and simply turned away to continue fighting...
Nathaniel

Nathaniel and Bella waded through the thick fog, making their way towards the source of the lights. Nathaniel had hoped to slip away from the group unnoticed, but Bella had seen and followed him. Now he had no choice to take her along.
Once or twice Nathaniel would send another ball of white light flying into the sky. Whether or not Gerard saw them, he did not know. Bella walked next to him in silence, staring transfixed at the lights.
Suddenly the mists parted to show another, larger demon standing in the middle of a clear circle. Nathaniel stopped, as did Bella, both staring at the demon. It wore robes, much like Nathaniel's, and was much bigger than the other demons, standing almost a head and shoulders above Nathaniel. From out of its fingertips flew the multi-colored lights and in its claw it held a staff topped with a skull.
"Back into the fog..." Nathaniel whispered to Bella. They both backed up. Luckily the demon had not seen them.
"Nat...what is that?"
"A demon mage, looks like. I'm not entirely sure..."
"What are we going to do?"
Nathaniel turned to Bella, a sly smile playing on his lips.
"Why, kill it, of course." |

Alise's thoughts were fuzzy, it was hard to fight. But she did anyways. She'd deal with Lethero when this was over. If it ever ended.
stop it she told herself stop thinking like that, this WILL end.
It wasn't before long when they realized that they didn't think it WOULD.
Alise made her way to Gerard, "we can't win," she said, "we have no choice but to flee."
"What about Nat?"
"We'll find him and Bella, send up one of your lights. One that tells him to come or something." |

Gerard slashed another demon as he answered. "I don't have magic! I just yell!" he grinned.
"NAT!" he bellowed, hacking another demon into pieces. He was now covered in blood, sweat, and tiny water droplets from the fog.
Suddenly two balls of light flew high into the sky before fading into the night.
"I'm fine...don't come..." Gerard muttered his brother's message. He turned to Alise, his expression pained and torn. "I won't leave him...but i can't go to him..."
"Your brother will be fine. He's a mage, he can take care of himself. We have to go, now!"
"Alright..." Gerard still looked extremely confused and torn. He glanced back into the fog and shouted, "Meet us back at the house as soon as possible!"
Another light flew up, this one flashing from white to blue to red. "I'm fine. Will come. Don't come." |

Silvin was busy firing arrow after arrow at the demon span. Everytime he picked one of another appeared from the mist. "Shit."
Out of arrows Silvin drew his sword waiting for more to come. Instead Alise and some of the others came running.
"Silvin!" Alise tossed him her dagger. silvin took it and threw it into a demons heart.
"Where are we going?"
Alise looked at him as they ran, "Not sure, away from here."
"And the others?"
"They'll catch up later." |

*adding more conflict here. I'm really bored so...yeah.*
Nathaniel-
Nathaniel and Bella crouched in the fog, watching the tiny lights emitting from the mists intently. Suddenly Nathaniel stood up.
"What?" Bella asked.
"I'm getting tired of this. Come on, lets just get it over with."
"Um...ok." Bella said, standing too. They moved forward, towards the demon mage. Just as they were about to emerge from the fog, Nathaniel stopped and turned to Bella.
"Stay here, there's nothing you can do here. Leave it to me, ok?"
"Sure Nat."
Nathaniel stepped out of the fog and sent a small flame flying in the direction of the demon mage. It hit the monster on the arm, causing it snarl in irritation and turn to Nat. It's upper lip curled into a sneer.
"Another mage, how wonderful." it said, speaking in a crude form of english. Its voice was deep and hard to distinguish, but understandable.
"What are you doing here, in this town?" Nathaniel asked, readying another spell.
"Attacking it, of course."
"Why?"
"We were ordered to."
"By whom?"
"You'll find out soon enough." the demon mage said, suddenly firing a spell at Nathaniel. A ball of flames flew past the young mage as he dodged out of the way. More flaming balls flew at Nathaniel, nearly missing him. Just as he was looking up from dodging another of the demon's spells, a blast of air hit him squarely in the chest and knocking him backwards. His head hit a wall and the world was slowly consumed by darkness. Before falling unconscious he dimly heard Bella's voice shouting his name...
Strong, furry arms picked up Nathaniel's inert body from beside the wall and deep, guttural voices shouted commands. As suddenly as they had appeared, the demons disappeared, taking Nathaniel with them.
*Sorry, i was REALLY bored and i wanted to add more conflict to the story. Anyways, have at it! lol* |

Ara ran with the rest of the group, a sick feeling in her stomach, these things were impossible to get rid of. A crow came screaching towards her. It quickly told her about Nat, and that Bella had sent it. How she had been able to relay the message Ara didn't know but at least they knew. Bella had said she would meet them at the house thing.

Fury and worry played across Gerard's face, Alise placed a hand on his arm, "calm down, we'll find him." She rubbed his forearm, "but we'll need your help, and that requires control."
Gerard took a few deep breaths and calmed himself down, and turned his anger to Alise, "why do you even care?"
Hurt flooded her eyes, "Because I like you two, you're a rare pair you are. You are one of the few that hang around me so long, and are unafraid."
"What about him?" He nodded towards Lethero.
"He's...he's Lethero, I saved his life once, and now he thinks he's in love with me."
"So you don't feel the same for him?"
She shook her head, "no." |

Silvil listened to the two bicker, ,"Shut up already!"
They both turned to him with piercing fury. "Stay out of this Silvin," said Alise baring her fangs.
"You know that doesn't work on me. In fact, I think I'm the only person to never fear you."
"You don't fear vampires?" asked Ara.
"Why should I?"
"This is why," Alise took Gerard's sword and charged at Silvin. Drawing his blade he parried the first strike.
"We need a plan of action Alise, this is not the time for this!" She didn't hear him, blood lust in her eyes. "Damn." Silvin sheathed his sword and tossed it to the side. "Come down Alise, please."
Still it seemed like she hadn't heard. She rusted Silvin and went to cut off his head, but stopped, "You were always a fool."
"Saved me many times already," said Silvin as he picked up his sword.
"What just happened?" asked Ara.
"That's why your one of my best friends Silvin. You know how to read people."
"I still don't understand?"
"Vampires, like all of their kind have the potential to lose control. I could see in her eyes all the blood that has been spilled started to get to her." Silvin began to walk.
"So everything you said was a lie?" asked Gerard.
Alise was about to say something, but silvin butted in, "That's not true. Even under the blood lust she's the most honest person I know." He turned and smiled. "I trust her with my life as should you. We'll get your brother back, I promise you." |

Gerard sighed and nodded his head, turning to Ara and bracing for the worst.
"What kind of trouble did Nat get himself into?"
"I think she can tell you more about what happened." Ara said, nodding over Gerard's shoulder. "After all, it was she who sent the bird."
Gerard turned and sighed in relief when he saw Bella. She stood in the doorway, panting and exhausted, but otherwise unharmed.

Seeing as Bella's not posting...and hasn't been on for a while, i shall continue.

Continuing with Gerard, since Nat isn't really in the story at the moment. I may post a short scene with him. Depends on how bored i am

Gerard-
"Bella! What happened!?" Gerard asked worriedly. It took Bella a moment to answer.
"Nat and I went to find out what was causing all the lights. We found a demon mage...and Nat told me to stay in the shadows of the fog. He went out and cast a spell at it and asked it why they were attacking this town. It said it was 'ordered to', and when Nat asked who ordered it, it said, 'You'll find out soon enough'. It started casting fireballs everywhere, some of them just missing me. Nathaniel dodged them..." Bella stopped, tears welling up in her eyes.
"What happened!?" Gerard asked frantically. "Please Bella...my brother..."
"Nat dodged the fireballs, but when he looked up, the demon mage cast another spell. I didn't see what it was...but Nathaniel went flying backwards. After that i lost sight of him for a few moments..." she stopped again. Alise gently encouraged her to go on while Gerard bit his lower lip in anxiety.
"When i saw Nat again..." Bella started, tears trickling down her face. "He was either unconscious or dead. The demon mage had him and was ordering the other demons around. I'm not sure what they said but a few moments later they...disappeared. I don't know how...i guess they teleported..."
Gerard groaned and put his head in his big hands, his body shaking. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Alise standing there.

Stopping there to let someone else take over. I'll post Nathaniel in a little while, just so we get an idea of what/where we have to go and do. I'm still working on it myself.  |

After that everyone was silent. It seemed like and eternity until Gerard got up and started for the door, but Silvin stopped his, "Where do you think you're going."
"To find my brother!"
"If you go alone you'll get yourself killed. I've been into many wars with people like you who act before they think."
Gerard looked angery, but Alises presance seemed to com down, "Then what do you think we should do?"
"Split up into pairs or groups and gather information, then meet back here in about a month."
"My brother could be dead by then!"
"Then we shearch for his amisly, you choose." |

Ara listened to all this,
"I can ask the animals where they took him," She piped up, "They would know where they were headed unless they just vanished into the air cause the warning would go in front of their path to hide."
"What is the possibility of them being wrong?" Gerard asked,
"Zero to none." She replied, "They would remeber something like that. Its not every day they have had a bunch of demons walk through their forest."
"How long would it take?" Alises asked,
"Just as long as it take to get between each animal, which isn't but a few minutes if that. We could even have one go ahead to get the path and leave a marker of some sort." Ara replied, |

Bella won't be able to post for a while, she's got computer problems.

Alise nodded, "do it then," she turned to Gerard and Bella, "Bella, take me and Gerard to where Nathan dissappeared."
Bella nodded, "alright."
They walked out the door, oblivious to the protesting looks of everyone else. "We'll be back shortly," Alise reassured before shutting the door.
Once outside Alise closed her eyes and groaned, "we better be very quick or I'll lose control."
"Hold your breath, it will help."
Alise did as she was told and held her breath as they walked. Vampires by nature didnt' have to breathe but human habits die hard. |

Really bored here so I'm posting.

Gerard-
They followed Bella to a destroyed part of the town. The fog had cleared leaving the half-moon shining in the crisp autumn air. Bella led them to a bare wall that turned out to be the side of a destroyed building.
"This is where I last saw Nat." she said. Gerard glanced around and noticed something lying on the ground. Gingerly picking it up, he held it in his hand and stared at it sadly. Nathaniel's staff, the light in the crystal had long gone out.
"Nat...where are you?..." Gerard murmured to himself.
Nathaniel-

"Talk!" a hand came up and punched Nat in the mouth, nearly breaking his jaw.
Nathaniel spat the blood from his mouth and smiled grimly.
"Never."
"Once I'm done with you you'll be begging to tell me everything i want to know." the demon snarled, hitting Nathaniel again. He winced in pain but made no sound.
"Where is the stone!?" the demon raged.
Nathaniel looked smug and said nothing. His hands were manacled to wall above him, his wrists were bloody and so was most of the rest of his body. Even through his red robes, the sticky red liquid was viable against the fabric. When Nathaniel had first woken, he was in the exact same position he was in now, more or less. His hands here manacled, he was gagged, and worst of all, his prized staff was gone. He cursed mentally.
"I will not ask again." the demon snarled.
"Ooh, I'm scared now." Nathaniel said, rolling his eyes. His prison, as far as he knew, was located to the west of his town. He had been tortured daily, some 'treatments' much more brutal than others. Yet he still maintained his stubbornness and told the demons nothing.
"You will regret that..." the demon brought a furry claw up and slashed the side of Nathaniel's face, leaving three bloody slashes on his cheek.
"Tell me where the stone is! I know you know!" the demon demanded.
"How should i know where a stupid stone is. Oh, hey, here's one next to your foot now!" he said sarcastically. The demon snarled in fury.
"You know full well what stone I'm talking about, mage." the demon said, raising a fist threateningly.
"Do tell."
"You stupid humans are so ignorant! The stone of Baliekn, of course! What other stone is more valuable!?"
"How am i supposed to know where stone Bali-whats it called is located?"
"You're a mage! The stone is magic!"
"How does that make me capable of knowing?"
The demon cursed in fury and punched Nathaniel again, leaving a red mark, soon to be a nasty black and blue. Nathaniel flinched.
"Tell me where the stone is and I'll let you go." the demon said.
Nathaniel snorted. "Me? Believe you? Ha, and you say us humans are ignorant..."
"You have one last chance to tell me." the demon said, bringing its face within a foot of Nat's. Its reaking breath caused Nathaniel to gag involuntarily.
"Or what?"
"Or you will regret it for the rest of your life."
"How so?"
"Would you like to find out?"
"I suppose i will sooner or later. Why not sooner?" Nat said, half smugly and half mockingly. The demon snarled and cursed in fury pacing around the small cell. Finally it turned to face Nathaniel and slammed its fist into the side of his head. Blackness fell instantly.
