Hey all!
After noticing a horrible lack of stories in my favorite genre, Historical fiction, and even less about any time period/location varying out of America/the UK/Western Europe for the most part, I have devised a contest!
Here we go:
Prize: 500 points and a major critiques on three peices of your choice.
Contest Length: All submissions must be entered one month from today, April 13, 2007.
Length: No limit, but please no novels.
Time Period: ANY
Here's the catch though, it MUST have something to do with ISRAEL. Either set in Israel, with at least one Israeli character, or have Israeli characters, etc.
I personally prefer something having to do specifically with Israeli history, but thats for you to decide.
NOTE: Having american/british/etc characters doing something completely unrelated to any historical topic or period, but in Israel does not count, neither does having an Israeli fighting in the American civil war also does not count.
You get the idea.
You have a month for research and writing. If you need help with ideas, or research, PM me and I'll point you in the right direction. Get writing! |

| I know next to nothing about Israeli history, so this is an opportunity of sorts. I think I might try it, just so I can branch out to something new. Lots of research/background reading to get done though! |

Sounds interesting! I may try something in B.C. time, during the prophets of Israel or something like that. First I have to get my entry done for Clau's contest, though!

Israeli history doesn't really clang my gong, since I know nix about it. ANOTHER period in history, and I'll enter with enthusiasm.
