From just the title it could make me think of a bunch of different genres, maybe vampires or supernatural or possibly horror. The cover art is a big thing. If the blurb was interesting I'd read it.

Somebody becomes the victim of a crime and becomes stronger as a person from overcoming the event. Not my cup of tea.

Could have nothing to do with slaughtering, or could be totally generic and be about killing, blood etc etc.

I tried to come up with something serious, but all I could see in my mind's eye - I hate myself for this - was some kind of porno movie about a witch or a genie or something, with hair downstairs. *dies*

A twist on "Death Becomes Her", perhaps, so a romantic comedy in that sense. Or alternatively, a terrifying thriller in which the protagonist refuses to believe the revelations that she witnesses.

Two titles for interlinked one-act plays: Suspect and Victim

Ummm, I'm guessing it's a murder type thing. There was a murder or two maybe, and there's detectives and such searching for the murderer. I like that type. If it's a play I can't really say I'd read the blurb, but if there was one and it was good I'd read it.

Okay, let's see...

A legal thriller in which a detective is on the cusp of breaking a long-time high-profile case. They've found a slam-dunk witness, but, for whatever reason, he/she keeps on successfully eluding them.

Puts me in mind of "Wielding a Red Sword" by Piers Anthony, so I've got this image in my head of a warrior standing tall, wielding a fiery blade. That or something to do with magical powers...

Sounds pretty good, I'd probably pick it up at least to read the blurb.

Synopsis: Teenager (male or female, dunno) going on a college road trip to scout out colleges across the US looking for the perfect one. Realizes can't find it because the perfect one can't be found in what they are looking for and the perfect college doesn't actually exist, and what they are looking for is really like an inner-struggle kind of self-finding thing.

It sounds like a short love story, where two people fall in love and hang out at the park, after hours. I'm not too into romances... if that's what this is... so I probably wouldn't pick it up?

Hmmmm, It makes me think of the old expression that talks about the person digging them self into a deeper hole. So, it would make me think that your MC has gotten them self into trouble, tries to get out of it, and just ends up making it worse. If the blurb was good I'd read it.

It's two stories, the first one and the sequel:

The Ransom & The Return

Sounds like adventure novels for young adults, likely with ties to the Romance genre. I see a blonde damsel-in-distress character in her mid-twenties. Her rescuer is also blond, and is likely a fiance or lover that her parents disapprove of. Set in the 1800s. Swords are involved. Pirates optional. Unless it had a strong cover picture, I wouldn't pick it up. (Sorry! Embarassed )

Hmmm, I'm thinking something about the lottery. It makes me think that some person wins the lottery, and then after he collects his money a lot of bad things keep happening because people want the money. Or it could have something to do with Vegas. If the cover picture and blurb was good, I'd probably read it.

This is going to be compeltely off the real subject of the book:
A girl recieves a note from an unknown person who starts to stalk them and they are sent more and more notes and presents. I don't think I would pick this book up off the shelf, but that's because it sounds romantic. But with a good blurb and something to show me it wasn't romantic, then yeah, I'd read it!
