What'd you think of the Super Bowl?

And I know this is a huge thing...but...Favorite commercials? (me and commercials lol) Super bowl commercials are always pretty good. Better than the game itself.

My favorites-
1. FedEx Kinko's (the bear rocks)
2. Diet Pepsi with Carson from Queer Eye...

The half-time show was boring. I like Paul McCartney still, though....

Oh dear. I don't know how you put up with this. I watched half an hour of the Superbowl and I got 7 minutes of play. 7 MINUTES! What's with that? In England, if we kept having breaks like that, there'd be a riot. A big riot.

It's totally and utterly boring. The game might not be so bad if the whole thing wasn't powered by advertisements. Just cut their wages and lose the adverts.

It's kind of the whole point of watching the Super Bowl.

You'd have to be American to get it.

Ah I see.

I'd have to be a fool to get it Razz

I just don't understand it. You're watching sport. If you want to watch adverts, then you should be doing something else. It's incredibly infuriatingly stupid, and I don't get why you're not annoyed by it.

Ah! Firestarter...it's tradition. It's FUN to sit around and eat junk food while watching ads that cost companies $2.4 million dollars to do. that's like 2 million pounds I think.

And did you know that Americans will gain about 15 pounds just watching the super bowl? I read that in USA today, i think.

I only remember like 4 of the reasons though. Or whatever.

Best points in super bowl commercials (fedex ones)
1. talking animal
2. company slogan (optional) LOL!
3. dancing animal
4. groin kick (although that was kind of stupid. Bear kicking guy in the crotch. riiiight...)

You Americans are weird.

No wonder your Government brain washes you all so easy if you find it fun to watch commercials.

Although I have seen the Bear Fedex commercial. It's funny.

The Super Bowl is the only football game I'll watch(usually,) and it's because of the commercials. Although, this year was a bit of a disappointment. They repeated this one car commercial(about not introducing a car like that in winter) three times! You're NEVER supposed to repeat commercials!

I blame the mostly boring half time on Janet Jackson.

Yes!!! Both of those were great! I nearly doubled over when Carson turned around in that Diet Pepsi commerical! And the FedEx Kinko's one was great, too.

The one my youth group(and visitors) voted on as the 'worst way to spend money,' 'stupidest way,' or 'way too much money spent for so little,' or something around those lines, was the commercial where the car backed up slowly into a tunnel, waited for the lights to come on, and then shot off. It was long and boring, and not Super Bowl commercial material.

6. regular animal

Sadly, no. You overestimate the strength of the dollar my friend, which is weak against the pound.

$2.4million = £1,292,337.30

You were near haha Razz

I'm in a pedantic mood.

Well Jack, with our brilliant president, murders and violence everywhere, drugs, hate music, "medicine" and disease galore, crime, The Media, no laws prohibiting guns, our addiction to anything edible, fast food made out of God knows what, arrogance and stupid, greedy people with waayyy too much power... Can you blame us for being weird and wanting to see something that makes us smile?

Think about it.

Well, with our amazing Prime Minister, crime on an all time high, drugs, hate music, terrible medical services, rubbish public transport, fast food that is mad eout of God know what, arrogance and stpidity, greedy people with way too much power.....

can you blame me for wanting to get rid of commericals which give more money to the greedy people you just quoted as a problem?

can you blame me for wanting to watch sport at a sporting event?

can you blame me for hating players who get paid millions for doing very little?

can you blame me for hating commercialism when all it does is create more poverty?
