Hello. I was looking at the "Who's on online" and "Memberlist" and beside my name under "last visit" it always say hidden. My name don't even appear on the front page on the bottom anymore. I was wondering why is that?

Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!

So click on My YWS and go down to My Preferences. Scroll down a little bit and you'll see something like:

Preferences
Always show my e-mail address: Yes No
Hide your online status: Yes No

It should be second down! Anyway, click the bubble "no" so that you'll be seen.

I'm quite new at this and haven't posted my own stuff yet...so I have a few questions.

What if you aren't sure where a story is leading and therefore do not have a definite category yet? I'm thinking of something that will probably be fantasy, but I am not sure. Should I just post it under fantasy?

I am hoping to finish the story I just started, but I may discontinue it and work on something else instead...should I still post it? Should I maybe ask for feedback as to whether I should continue?

I think I shall post it now anyway...but answers would still be greatly appreciated! Smile

Of course you can post it in fantasy! You can always ask a mod to move it later! Or, you can post it in other, which is my favorite category -- catch-all!

And of course you can post something you're not sure of! Just make sure you do two reviews for every story you post!

Heya and welcome first of all!!

If you haven't already you may want to check out the Rules & Guides - they can help. As for reviewing itself you can go to the Help & Support tab on the drop down menu and then under there go to the Help & Support Wiki. There, under 'Tips' you can go to 'Reviewing'.
Here's the link:

To be honest I just learnt how to critique by reading other people's critiques.

If I haven't answered your question properly or you need more help please feel free to pm me.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I didn't see it in the guides. How do i mark something as favorite or put it on "watched"?

At the bottom of each topic, you'll see a link that says "watch this topic" and you just hit that or when you post a reply, one of the options you'll see below the text box is "notify me when a reply is posted." It does the same thing!

Hope that helps!
