PostPosted: Tue Aug 30, 2005 11:52 pm    Post subject: OFFICIAL CONTEST: YWS Logo Reply with quote

Very soon, the YWS store will be added, but before it gets done, I need some more logos to go on t-shirts, notebooks, pens, etc.

The rules of the contest are as follows:
1. Only one entry per person
2. The logo MUST say Young Writers Society. No abbreviation. Including a .com at the end is not required, but it would be nice.
3. The image format should be in either .gif or .jpg.
4. The logo must be done by October 1st.

Remember also that by entering your logo into the contest you are allowing YWS to use it in the store.

Now for the mechanics of the contest...

The deadline is October 1st, and there will be a first and second place along with an honorable mention if enough people enter. To submit your logo you may either post it in this thread or send it to me at nathan.caldwell@gmail.com. The winning entries will be decided by YWS as a whole (each logo will be put up for a vote).

What about the prize...

First place will win a t-shirt and notebook with their logo on it.
Second place will win a notebook with their logo on it.

Yay a contest!

No! I can't draw!

Then again, that may be a good thing.

Yay!

I'lll just drag me hopes down into the mud if I lose...
But, OK, I'll do it Smile

Would sketching it out, scanning it and then fixing it with paint be OK though because I don't have anything else...

Ooh! Logos! Can we submit multiple entries? Also, if you're using a free cafepress shop, all shirts and stuff will be white with a max size of 8x10 inches (not sure what that is in cm). Or it can be 10x8. Just to let you know. Of course, if it's some other shop, then I have no idea how it works.

Yep, that would be perfectly okay.

Dreaming_mouse: Any size is fine. If it's too big or too small, I'll just resize it.

A shirt with any text I want on it, huh... might... be awesome... enough for me to attempt this.
