New Kid On The Block

Postby StarKiller on Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:32 pm

Hey what's up everyone? My name is Grant, I'm 18 years old and i'm a senior in high school. I love to read, right now i am reading the Septimus Heap series and am on book 2. I love reading fantasy books even if they are nothing like the real world. Hence the term FANTASY! Anyway, I want to become a writer as of right now in my life. Who knows what'll change when i get out of high school and go on my way. One thing you should know about me is that i'm kind of a random guy. That may be true for most of you as well though, who really knows. I want to write stories about the dreams i have while also making them a good story line. So i may be putting up posts soon about my dreams and what i think they mean to me personally, and hopefully they catch your interest as much a they caught mine. So that's my starting plan here on this forum. Peace Out Homes'.

Hello! Welcome to YWS! :D

Ooh, I love fantasy. I tend to flock into that forum if I want to review, so maybe I'll run by one of your works! And also, dreams can be so worthy of being written. I can't tell you how many dreams I've had that I wish I wrote down. I actually wrote one short story after the dream, but it was a really weird one that came out of no where... I should go look at that some time.

Anyway! I've never read the Septimus Heap series. Nor have I heard of it, for that matter! I'll have to look it up. I've been searching for some reading material.

Your randomness will most certainly fit in with our own around here! We're a crazy bunch (or I should say "YWS" since I'm not at all crazy) and we have a whole bunch of fun. You'll definitely find your place around here. :D

Do you have any other interests besides writing? A sport or another craft (art, music, etc.)?

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM. I'm more than happy to help. ;D

Howdy Grant! Welcome to YWS!

Ah, I love my dreams. Although some can get quite spooky or just plain weird, they're awesome inspiration for writing. And you say you write fantasy? Hope to see some of your work around the forums then as I usually haunt the fantasy forum :D

The Septimus Heap series is awesome. I've really enjoyed reading it. Have to say the third book is my favourite xD

Is there anything else you like to write? Do you prefer writing short stories or novels?

Well, again welcome. And if you have any questions or such feel free to PM me!

Cheers,

Meadow

Do you prefer to write on the computer, or pen & paper?
Is that enough questions?

Hey, Grant, welcome to YWS, it's awesome to meet you. I'm Grin. :)

I don't tend to go for fantasy, other than Terry Pratchett, but dreams are certainly fascinating things and I'll be sure to look you up. If there's anything you need, feel free to PM me. I'll see you around :)

Heya Grant!

*Gives welcome hug*

Well, I never write fantasy, but I do like to read them
And yes, Septimus Heap series! Well, I didn't get past the third book, because the library I go to doesn't have the rest.
What other fantasy titles do you like?

Stop by in the chat rooms sometime and you could always PM me if you want to talk about anything.:)

Hey Grant, what's up?
I'm kind of into fantasy as well.
That's cool. You should know that a bunch of people on here are random, such as me. hehehh.. :]
We'll be good friends 'cause I like to write about my dreams too and that's all I write about...or draw.
Nice to meet you.
You can call me Darien or ...Sky. :)
PS.StarKiller is a freaking cool name.
