A little bit about me!
Ryan Gary Joel McLean

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Currently studying Year 9 at Kapunda High School, South Australia.
Currently enrolled in Mighty Good Talent School – Adelaide, South Australia. Have been attending Acting, Singing and Dance Classes for over 3 years.
Awarded Scholarship from Mighty Good Talent School (2004) which was 2 terms fully paid – all subjects – awarded to highest achiever at the school across all subjects/disciplines. Nominated again for this years award 2005.
PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
Winner of Kapunda High School Year Eight All Rounder Award for Academic Excellence, Attitude and Sport. (2004)
Long distance Barossa champion for his age level and continued this year to finish third at SANTOS Stadium Interschools competition. Also has competed in many other athletic championships and competitions in South Australia.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Ryan has been cast on 4 occasions as an extra on McLeods Daughters – a top rating Australian TV drama series that is filmed here in South Australia.
Entered the Lions Club of Australia “Youth of the Year” Public Speaking Competition and achieved a special mention - Ryan was too young to officially enter the competition.
Selected from hundreds of students from over 50 schools in South Australia to be the Program Compere at the State Schools Festival of Music held at the Festival Theatre in Adelaide. Ryan was the primary compere to an audience of nearly 1000 people at this major event.
Ryan has been a member of several choirs, both through school and community groups performing at several large venues including the Festival Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre, StarPlex Theatre and Theatre 62.
He was also elected on his school S.R.C (Student Representative Council) for two years where he learnt valuable skills about leadership, decision making and teamwork.
SPECIAL INTERESTS:
Hobbies include exercising, particularly cardio and weight-lifting, performing arts, (acting, singing, dancing and public speaking) writing his own novel which is over 50 pages and almost complete and travel.
He also has a very keen interest in the entire series of books written by Anthony Horowitz and aspires to audition for a role in the upcoming Stormbreaker movie! |
