Olin Harper~Trumpet

Olin listened to everything the director said while taking notes on a small note pad. The director went on to discuss musical arrangements and living expectations. The orchestra would receive their music in a day or two with rehearsals started the day after that. A schedule of rehearsals and lessons would be posted outside the dormitory where the team was to sleep. It was located next to the auditorium. Their first large performance was in about a month and a half, but they may be scheduling a small concert before that date. When the director was finished speaking Olin looked over his notes and placed the pad back in his pocket. With that everyone was dismissed.

Olin decided to look for the boy named Hiro, because he had taken the note especially for him. He didn't want anyone to miss anything and decided to would be the right thing to do. It didn't take Olin long to find the boy. He was siting just outside the building getting some fresh air. He walked over to the boy, "Your name's Hiro correct?"

The boy turned to face Olin. He was a little startled and nodded his head yes.

"I have something for you," Olin pulled out his note pad and ripped out the page with the information on it. "Here, it's the information we received during the meeting. It may be hard to read, even though I put it in English. Still you shouldn't have any problem translating. It's just basic stuff." He handed him the paper.

"Arigato," was Hiro's response.

"La vostra accoglienza," replied Olin, but Hiro was a bit confused. "Your welcome. I'm Olin by the way; Olin Harper." He held out his hand to shake.

The boy looked at it a moment and smiled taking it, "Kiyoshi, Fuyuhiro, Hiro for short."

"Well Hiro, I'll catch you later, I have to go get my instrument. addio!" Hiro waved goodbye and Olin went to retrieve his instrument.
Apple pie or cherry pie? That is the question.

**Dont die on page four!**

Hiro

He wiped his nose on his sleeve, eyeing the paper easily. Reading english was easy. Understanding what people were saying too was often easy, but speaking it? No, that was the difficult part.

He pulled at a piece of his hair eagerly, smiling. So he was not out nor was anyone. In fact, they were all now apart of it and it's grand scheme. He stood up, breathing in deeply.

"Watashi mo daisuki desu Okasan." He smiled to himself, grasping the picture in his pocket. He then turned to walk inside. Hopefully the cats were gone now, but there were very many people in which he enjoyed speaking with. People who understood his passion for song and in that, this place was turning out to be a lot better then he could have possibly imagined.

He looked up at the sky once and turned back into the building, striding down the halls towards the auditorium.

Louis Alexander ~ Saxophone

He ambled down the hallway, Smufflepoof ambling along beside him on a leash and a harness. Louis couldn't help but start whistling on this fine day. He noticed how everything wasn't exactly as fine as it would have been at his own house. The art statues were mostly remakes, and impressing only to those of lower class.

He turned the corner, just to stand there face to face with Hiro, the small asian boy that seemed to be allergic to cats. Louis waved pleasantly towards the boy and walked towards him purposefully.

"Moshi moshi." Louis smiled at him stopping. "I believe we are going to be working together from now on."

"Hai." Hiro bowed his head and came to a stop also. But when he bowed his head he saw the Smufflepoof. Smufflepoof, sensing the boy's alarm, hissed and bat its grew paw at him. It almost seemed that Hiro jumped at least six feet away from the cat.

"Now that isn't really nice of you Smuff." Louis said in a pathetic tone, picking up that cat and cradling it like a baby. Smufflepoof in return started purring and closed its eyes.

Athene~Oboe

"Is your cat's name Snufflepoof? Honestly? That's adorable." Athene commented as she walked past the two near the auditorium. They had an evening rehearsal and most were slowly making making their way to it. She ran to catch up with Lanory. "Hi Lanory." She followed her into the darkened auditorium and clicked the lights on. "Wow, we have name tags on our chairs? That's impressive." She sat on her chair, assembled her instrument and began flipping through a folder on her music stand which seemed to contain their new music.

Lanoray - Flute

I laughed. "Yeah, it is. At least there'll be no competition for seats," I said jokingly.

Athene nodded with an amused smile. I sat down not far from her and looked at the new music. It didn't look difficult. I raised my flute to my mouth and tried out the first few notes.

"Hey!" Someone shouted. I looked around. "No starting early!" The director came out, wagging a finger at me.

"Oh..." I said. "Sorry, sir." He quickly turned and went off to do...something else.

Athene and I laughed quietly. Soon after, Hiro and Luis came in, as did a few more people. The auditorium filled quickly.

Guys - I tried posting this on the DT, but it hasn't gotten much of a response - Corvin disappeared completely! My earlier posts seem to have been disregarded, because every character just moved on and talked to other characters, with absolutely no comment on Corvin.

Can someone PLEASE being him back in??

I'll see what I can do. This should be fun; I was one of the best in my French class this past year ^^

Lanoray - Flute

I glanced at the music stand next to my own. It was for a viola player. Everyone else appeared to be here, but he was nowhere to be seen.

And then, the doors burst open, and the French guy strode in, head held high. I groaned. Perfect. He sat elegantly in the chair next to me and flipped through his music. I glanced at him. He smiled proudly at me.

"Bonjour, mademoiselle," he said to me. I couldn't help but smile. I had only been in French class for a couple years, but I knew talking to him would be simple. "Comment ca va?"

I smiled wider. "Pas mal, merci. Et toi?"

"Ha!" He exclaimed, obviously surprised that this small-town girl spoke his native tongue. "Tres bien, merci." I smiled and tried hard not to laugh. "Je m'apelle Corvin. Et toi?"

"Je suis Lanoray."

"Enchante, Lanoray." He smiled as I shook his hand.

---

^^ I don't know if you can use the accents, but I hope you can read it anyway :) Here it is translated (roughly):

"Good day miss. How are you?"

"Not bad, thank you. And you?"

"Very well, thank you. My name is Corvin. And you?"

"I am Lanoray."

"Pleasure, Lanoray."

:) French is fun ^^ Hope this is good!

THANK YOU!

Corvin - Viola

"I must, say, Mademoiselle," said Corvin, reverting back to English. "I am impressed that you speak. I was under the impression that no one here would bother. English is such a crude language, don't you think?"

The girl, Lanoray, blushed. "Actually, English is my first language. I took French as a class in school..."

Corvin's smile hardened. "Ah," Corvin looked her over critically. "I should have known. American..."

Lanoray's eyes widened. "That is hardly fa - "

Corvin looked back at her, coldly. "I suppose you are right. You seem to want to tag along the French grandeur. I will give you that. You know your betters."

Lanoray gave Corvin an incredulous look, then turned back to her music quickly. Corvin watched her. She gave him a sideways glance, and quickly looked back at her music, flipping through the pages quickly. Corvin chuckled slightly to himself, and moved to take his viola out of its case.

As Corvin straightened up, he saw that Lanoray was facing him again. Corvin raised his eyebrows.

"May I help you?"

(I got you two no problem.)

Olin entered the auditorium, instrument in hand, sighing as he stepped forward. Olin had never played in a large group and was used to playing solo pieces. Now he had to play along with many others and he wasn't so sure what would happen. He decided to just go with it and learn as he went.

Silently he found his seat and sat down. As he started pulling out his instrument a young lady, African, took a seat next to him on a stool. He smiled and decided to be friendly, "Hello, it's nice to meet you. The name's Olin, Olin Harper."

"Shanon, it's a pleasure." She smiled.

"I can't believe I'm the only brass player."

"What's the matter, feeling lonely?" she laughed.

Olin smiled, "A little. I've never played in an orchestra before."

"What, really? Wow, that's just a little sad." She went back to setting up.

Sighing Olin set his mutes down on the ground. He decided to flip through his music to which, if any, he would need. While he did this another girl took a seat in front of him. She had a violin case. Surrounded by string instruments, said Olin to himself. Just then the girl dropped he bow string. Olin noticed her hand was trembling slightly.

Smiling to himself Olin bent down and picked up the bow string handing it to her, "I think you dropped this."

"Oh, uh, thank you," said the girl taking it.

"Don't worry so much, we're all a little nervous." Olin smiled.

"Yeah, this kid here has never even played in a group performance. Imagine how he feels," said Shanon smiling.

"Did you really have to bring that up?"

"What, why not? You openly told me."

"Yeah, well I was just talking out loud."

"Of course you were." Shanon laughed.

The violinist smiled a bit herself and so Olin did as well in response. "Any way, my name is Olin, it's nice to meet you."

"And I'm Shanon."

"Iclisa."

Olin was about to say more, but the director walked out and told everyone to be quiet. Sighing he blew into his instrument warming it up.

**The auditions are already complete, technically speaking. How it got to additions.. I have no idea XD. I just had it set up so we could all meet and then learn what we would do but we randomly jumped into auditions and I didn't stop it for lack of a better reason. Let's just go with the flow and have fun :D**

Hiro

He could feel his cheeks burn bright, sitting now with a newly adorned face mask. It wasn't as if he wanted to but Louis smelled awfully like cat hair and it was making his nose burn terribly. The mask kept the hair out and in that his lung clean from the awful cat dandriff.

But he also had to wear the mask which was embarrassing enough as it was.

"You look like you're straight out of those cartoons thingys that come from your country.. what are they called? Pokeman?"

Hiro raised his shoulders guardingly, his face burning even brighter.

"Anime, Louis-sempai."

"Anime? Ah, yes, that's it. Short for animation!"

"No.. actually... anime is our word for animation." Hiro took a glance around the room. His Piano was before him, glossy black with simple ivory keys. Just so happens that Louis' sax was set up right next to him in all if it's glory. How... ironic.

"That looks like some complicated notes," Louis scrunched his nose at the site of my sheet music set up easily. "Piano seems awfully boring."

"It's not at all, Louis-sempai. It's beautiful." He smiled but remembered the smile was invisible underneath the damn face mask. He grimanced.
