Ok, this is all really useless without the score...which i don't know how to put up here. Trust me, it does fit into a ragtime beat.

~A new way to gamble ~

Texan:
I bring news of a new sensation.
Coming forth to sweep the nation.
Brand spanking new!
From the USA
Soon the whole world will wanna say..

Bingo! Bingo! it's a brand new way to gamble.
Just listen to the numbers being called out.

Bingo Bingo its a whole new way to gamble.
When your card is full, it is then you shout.

Then dib!
Then dab!
Then shout,
FULL HOUSE!

Chorus: What about the UK gambling laws?
Texan: They were abolished in 64.

Pierre: Is eet adictif?
Texan: ...Beg pardon?
Pierre: Adictif!
Texan: Not at all...well, maybe a lil' bit.

Chorus: How is this game played?
Texan: With cards, dobbera and a mechanized system oooof baalls.

Chorus: Can we convert our cinema halls?
Texan: Hell yeah!

Hello, I don't think I've seen you around the lyrics forums. Is this your first song posted? Have you critiqued anything here? Just wondering, because this is really good, and I wanted to know if you had any more songs up.

Unlike a lot of the songs I read on here, I could easily get a beat to this one. Very poppy and up=beat, a happy sort of song. Bu it was really funny as well.

I actaully don't really have much to say. I really liked it. A couple of places, such as this one:

Quote:
Pierre: Is eet adictif?
Texan: ...Beg pardon?
Pierre: Adictif!
Texan: Not at all...well, maybe a lil' bit.

I think is meant to be spoken? It just seemed like it would be better if it were.

I really liked this part:

Quote:
Chorus: What about the UK gambling laws?
Texan: They were abolished in 64.

But this part confused me:

Quote:
Chorus: Can we convert our cinema halls?
Texan: Hell yeah!

Cinema halls? Huh? You might want to explain.

Overall, very nice job. I'd like to her music with it, if you've got any. And again, do you have anymore songs here? I'd love to take a look at them.

Haha, this was fantastic! I feel like jumping aboard the Bingo bandwagon already! I'm really glad you decided to put this up, I really enjoyed reading it. Chocholic's right, there's a real beat to this, unlike some of the other songs on here (ehem- I've heard someone called Eimear isn't very good in that respect...) and I really even sort of heard the music in my head! First sign of madness you might say, but I think it makes for some great lyrics. Well done.

I understood the thing about Cinema halls, but is that because we're both from Ireland/ England and other people call them the 'Movies?'

Oh, and this was great:

Quote:
Pierre: Is eet adictif?
Texan: ...Beg pardon?
Pierre: Adictif!
Texan: Not at all...well, maybe a lil' bit.

Made me laugh right out loud.

Gold star worthy.

Eimear xx

I LOVE this song, you can instantly sense the rhythm and the tune. It makes me want to dance sooo much. The lyrics are witty, the rhymes are even wittier...sheesh! Whoever wrote this is a genius.

Oh... my... God...
That was amazing! Hahaha. It made me smile as I was reading it. I could hear it playing in my head too. ^_^
I love the part where he's talking to Pierre. That made me crack up.
I guess the only thing I sorta-disliked was how the end just kind of... cut off. Maybe you could do something about this. Or not. Either way it was amazing.

I could see this being in some hilarious musical or something. Very Happy

Great job.
