How well off do you think you are? I found this website, where you enter your annual income and it tells you how rich you are in comparison to the rest of the world. So for a bit of fun, I put my annual income in the box, and it told me, that with my part time job in my local supermarket, working twelve hours per week while I'm at university, I am in the top 14.12% richest people in the world.
Isn't that astonishing? It really made me think about well off I really am.

Wow. I put in my parents income and we got top 0.58%.

Makes me feel a little spoiled. Surprised It's odd because we're pretty low-key. Tiny house, a few neat gadgets, but otherwise low-money.

It could all be an elaborate scam to make you think that you have more money that you actually have, so you'll buy more stuff. There any adverts on that site?

The site seems to be ad-free.

EDIT:

On another note, if the statistics that this site provides are true, then it's a good example of how effed up the world economy is.

10% of the people own most of the money. Awful awful awful.

The ads could be hidden. Hidden advertising, indirect suggestion, that sort of thing.

I could beleive that. If you are taking into account the world population, then we have to admit there are millions who are poor all over the world and in large numbers.
