This is a competition for storybooks. Or rather, a competition for the writers behind storybooks. Quite unique, huh? It's quite a simple competition on your part, though the judging may prove to be an interesting experiment. If it's successful, I might make this an annual event. We'll see.

What happens is simple: you have until the 31st May to decide if you want to enter. If you do, you must stipulate that here, including a link to your storybook. The competition is open to current storybooks and any created between now and the end of the month. Only the creator of the storybook may decide if they want their storybook included but if they enter then every single writer in that storybook is also entered, working on the same team for a shared prize.

The competition will start officially on the 1st June. From then until the 15th June (GMT time) every post made in your storybook will be judged. I will be focusing on plot, grammar, length, character relations, writer relations, description, structure, characterization, settings, communication etc. One thing I will not stand for is bullying. Storybook owners may encourage their writers to make better posts but they must not demand it or be overly persistent in asking for improvement. I doubt it will happen on such a fine site as YWS but I want to be clear that if I hear of any such behaviour, the storybook in question and possibly others owned by the creator will be disqualified.

All storybooks owned by myself are automatically entered but I can promise you that no favouritism will be shown towards them.

Prizes:

1st: 200 points for the owner of the storybook, 100 points for each active member and two critiques for each active member, including the owner.

2nd: 100 points for the owner of the storybook, 50 points for each active member and a critique for each active member, including the owner.

3rd: A critique for each active member, including the owner.

Note: Points and critiques will be delivered within ten days of the announcement of results.

Are there any questions? And is there anything that might be desired as an additional prize? Like exclusive entrance into the next storybook I create? Or maybe two month's storybook funding? (That would be where I would pay the posters five points for each post they made for the next two months.)
