| Could you be spending the points and not realizing it? It costs 50 points to post a poem or story in the literary forums. |

| Okay, I've got a question. XD In messages, what's the difference between "Sent Box" and "Out Box?" |

| I believe that the sent box contains messages that have not yet been viewed by the person you sent them to whereas Outbox is for messages that the person has received and read? |

1. You need a certain number of posts - I think 500 - before you can edit your title.
2. Yes. There are quite a few though I have not met one who can't speak English. |

Welcome to the site, Scorpia. ^_^
Here's the deal--critiquing looks really scary, but it isn't. Simply by having written before, you have experience and tips you can lend to others who maybe don't quite get how things work yet. Also, being an objective viewpoint on characters, plot, and other elements can help other writers, even if it's just analysis.
Here is a list of articles you might want to check out.
So! Don't be afraid. Jump right in and tell the author what you think. It will help your own stories out in the long run. |

Welcome, Scorp.
I'm adding a bit to Sam's post, if she doesn't mind.
Critiques are actually pretty easy. (I know - shocking!) The thing is, even when you can't do something, you can tell others to do it.
For example, I personally have a huge problem with starting sentences with pronouns/proper nouns. Yet in my critiques, I am able to help them spot where they do it, and suggest how they fix it.
It's all about having a second set of eyes.
Also, things are always easier said than done. You can tell someone how to fix something, but you may not be able to do it yourself.
Anyways, have fun here, and try your best!

Aww... you want to leave.
First of all, it really doesn't matter if you come here constantly. So you can probably just not come here anymore, and it'll be okay. If you want, I can delete your literary works and then that'll be gone, at least.
If you really really want to cancel the account though, you're going to want to bug one of the admininstrators, Nate or Meshugenah. They can remove your name out of the database. |

I was just wondering if it makes a difference to how many points you get if you do a critique in stages (as in start it one day and save it as a draft before posting).
You see, I started a crit a couple of days ago, saved it and posted it just now and only got 8 points for it. Here's the critique:

Thanks,

Alainna - I think that may have been an error because I've written a critique, saved it as a draft and posted it later but still received the maximum points. So... I'm not sure what happened there? Maybe someone else knows something?
Frenchy - I'm really not sure what's happening there but you might have more success if you describe exactly what happens in the 'Report a bug' section. Nate will probably have a better idea of what's going on there. Sorry I couldn't help! |
