Hey guys and girls,
Well first off my name is Nick and I am 18 years old. I live in California and my main interests are writing (sci-fi and fantasy), painting miniatures, playing miniature tabletop games, reading, playing bass guitar, video games and lots more besides.
The main focus of my writing is in the Warhammer universes (40,000 for sci-fi and fantasy for uh well fantasy). Note that it is not fan fiction, I just use the setting of the Warhammer world to create my own characters, events, plots, battles and everything in between! |

You live in CA? cool.. If you ask me if i live there, nah. I think CA's cool. You play the bass guitar? cool. If you ask me if I play the bass guitar, nah. But I do play the guitar, which is AWESOME, I wanna learn how to play the bass too. You're 18? That's AWESOME. If you're gonna ask me if I'm 18, nah. I'm 5 years younger than you.

Welcome to YWS from humid England! I'm Gahks (that's pronounced 'garks'); glad you could join us!
You live in CA, do you? Mmm... bit too hot for my liking. Any earthquakes lately? 
(I used to be like a TOTAL nerd about natural hazards. I'm now a Law & Order fan. Funny how one's hobbies change.)
Speaking of L&O, I tend to write crime fiction, but your approach to Warhammer sounds interesting. Perhaps I should the same for my favourite crime series!

Hey Nick!
I used to play Warhammer, 40k, plenty of GW games a while ago. I still hold an affection for miniatures of all kinds, although I tend to lean toward the historical side now (Flames of War ftw).
It's be interesting to read your stories.

But what should we call you? Nick? Some form of your username? Random dude?
Bass guitar? That's cool. My brother plays the guitar, and he's shown me a bit. It's hard! Have you ever performed anywhere?
California seems awesome to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Earthquakes, heat...*shudders*
I tend to steer clear of sci-fi, but I can critique fanstasy if you'd like. My strong point is other/romance/action, so if you ever post that...!

If you've been looking for a forum to stick with, you definitely found it:) The vast vast vast majority of us couldn't leave this place even if we wanted to:) There honestly ought to be a warning label on the site telling you about the high risk of addiction.
Ooooh, fantasy! That's the greatest. I write it, I'm afraid, but I love to read it. If you want a crit, let me know:)
