He's been here since YWS started. Although Futurama is occasionally cited as the source of the reference, I believe the real Pat Buchanan inspired his appearance in the polls. He's run for president a few times, but I'm lazy (plus I have to go) and shall send you to his wikipedia page for more.

I don't know what you're talking about. Clearly, the result of this poll shows that 95% of members think YWS is the most awesome of awesome things. The poll also shows that the remaining 5% are dirty communist hippies.
I mean, that really should go without saying.
