Rather than make a new thread for each trivial update on the Lit Journal, I'm just going to keep it all in one thread. Feel free to comment of course on any update.

Anyhow, I ordered all the Lit Journals for the authors last Saturday and they are now beginning to ship (the manufacturing process takes three to five days). For whatever reason, though, the ones going to England shipped first! Like I expected, there's no tracking number, so I can't tell whether they were printed from the European Printer, which Sureal informed me of, or from the American Printer. I guess we'll never know...

I've also decided not to go through with a Summer edition. This means the next Journal won't be coming out for another eleven months, and we won't begin accepting submissions until late August or early September.

My reasoning here is I want to give the first edition as much of a chance to do extremely well as possible. A lot of the promotional plans I have for it won't kick in until April. If we were to begin shifting focus to the next edition in May, then that wouldn't give much time for the first edition to shine.

The promotional handouts I'm making will be available later this month or early next month. Right now, I'm trying to decide whether to make them available for download and/or mail them out upon request. I'll do the former no matter what, but I could also get a bunch of copies printed cheaply at Kinkos, and then mail those out to people who want them.

There'd be two handouts: one for you to keep, and one for you to give. The former will be there to assist you as a salesperson (Wink) and the latter will be there so you can leave something. Also included will be Adam's flyer.

I'm glad you're waiting to do the next journal - will give me a chance to actually write something over the summer!

As to the promotional handouts, is there any way you can include them with the journal when it gets shipped out? That way everyone who has a journal would automatically have the handouts.

Just a thought.

That wouldn't really work cause we'll most likely need a lot of copies to get to everyone in our areas. I think it's better to get them either mailed by themselves or print out as many copies as we need.

I feel like a real Graphics Designer. A cover and a flyer. Very Happy

I was wondering the same thing. My dad wants to buy several copies but won't till they're on Amazon. XD

Same here, Areida. My mom is willing to buy the Jouranl and a couple other books for me to read, but she'll only buy on Amazon. Mad

For you dorks who missed the radio program [Jabs, why are you asking, you were listening to me on the radio??] Nate has no idea when it will be on Amazon. There is no specific date, it just will be when it does.

But when it happens, I can promise you Nate will let you know. Banners, and confetti, and people yelling, and all that jazz. It will be big and loud!

Ha, thanks, Suzanne. I missed the radio show because I was busy winning second place in the state in dueting acting with my little sister. *shamless brag*
