Alrighty everyone, just a quick update on the Journal.

Technically, you could buy it right now, though not on Amazon quite yet. I got a proof copy yesterday, but the cover didn't turn out so well. But Adam made some modifications and I think it's going to turn out much better. Still, I want to hold off until I am holding it in my hands and it looks great. I also made another modification to the back cover, and I want to wait and see how that looks.

So there are a couple things holding it up:

- Still waiting on the ISBN code. Until I get this, I cannot post it on Amazon.
- Now waiting to get back the "second edition."

So unfortunately, still no exact date. The price though is $14.95, and the book is 151 pages long from cover to cover.

Aedomir--Literary Journal. Late in 2007 Nate and the rest of Big Brother brgan asking for submissions for the First YWS Literary Journal. the submissions could be either Poems or Short Stories, and were due back in November.

To answer your question--inside the Journal is a comilation of original works from the authors at the Young Writers Society.

Cool, right?

That's really cool... I want to buy it, kind of. But I don't know if I'll be able to. And I doubt my library would have it. >_<

You have an amazing idea.

Perhaps we could get these at public libraries? I'm not sure how something like that would work. It wouldn't get us a whole lot of money, but it would get us publicity, which is something.

Most libraries/librarians are willing to buy books for the library if they don't have access to said book. Especially if you're a polite student who, in their eyes, breaks the teenage stereotype Wink

Excellent idea. I will immediately begin hawking these things to my dear old librarian.

May heaven help her.

*grins* Oh, I like that idea. They may look at me funny since my name isn't on it, but oh! teehee. I think I can talk someone into it, perhaps.

But yay! This is getting me all excited!

Pretty cool. I just came back to Toronto, but there was a time when I had a good relationship with some of the librarians at a particular branch. If they remember me, I could always talk to them about ordering it.

That's a brilliant idea. I work in the library. Haha! They will have a copy or two of the Literary journal on the shelves before I am done with them!

My sister and I are members of the "Teen Advisory Board" at our local public library. Needless to say we are going to "advise" the library to buy a couple copies of the Journal.

Great idea, guys! Very Happy

The cover looks nice. It looks very Adam_Atlantian-ish. ^_^

I'm looking through the preview. It all looks extremely professional. Brad's preface is an excellent opener to the book too.

I'll be sure to buy a copy once Nate's happy with it. Smile

heh, I was wondering if anybody would find the Journal. Anyways, changed access to it such that it's no longer available; my worry is that someone will buy it before it's ready.

But good to hear Sureal! The biggest time-consumer was just getting the formatting right, so glad to hear that it looks professional.

So, as everyone can tell, not too much longer. I'm very confident that the second preliminary copy will look good, so I'm just waiting on an ISBN code.
