XD

So, how many of thee of I frighted off during my historical exploits? In other words, rambling on and on, without disregard about life, death, wondering around happily in cemeteries, etc...?

Though my portfolio is quite small, I can attest like so many that the YWS has improved my skills by leaps and bounds. It was this site that finally help locate my niche - Historical Fiction, and with that, after the years of growing accustomed to researching for a story - and for fun - it has also allowed me to explore one genre that has long frightened me and that is Fantasy. But now, with my experiences, I have the courage to dabble in it, and succeed!

There have been many people I've had the devine pleasure in meeting. So many of them have also put up with my rambling, lol! Others have spent the bulk of their time and helping to retrain, and shown me how to improve through their editing.

So here are my shoutouts:

Snoink - Yes... Someday I'll finish FREAK. Wink Miss the nights discussing FREAK, and browsing the Lit. forums together, looking for our next victim. Did I say victim? Wink One of the few that I've met that will willingly shred my work to pieces, and - actually enjoy doing it. LOL!

Sambo - Haha... Good times, good times. I have something for you, Sam. I think you'll like it:

(Know who I am?) Wink

And... How about those Scots during the F&I War? This is at Fort Ticonderoga:

All members of SPEW: You guys rock! Without the support, and the Pink One's leadership, I'd probably never would attempt to edit anyone's work with fear of hurting one's feelings. I now know how to approach most of the members, without a right hook coming my way! LOL!

Wiggy - Wigsters! Your "Dory attitude" is the best! Weee...!

Twitters - I've enjoyed getting to know you, and I have to say, you're a blast to chat with, and well... Fal is just awesome. Smile

Suz/Clau - Ha! Good times as well! Much thanks for putting up with my incoherent ramblings and editing my work.

Myth - Many thanks goes to you as well for reading, what? Almost all of Bound for Glory? lol! Not an easy task, I know, since the chapters are so long. But despite that, you weeded through, hacking away the junk with a stick, paving a clear path for me when I get ready to do a second draft. I suppose I did something right. Smile

Jack/Mesh - For being the best Admins on YWS. Very Happy

I know I have more to add, so relish that, and I shall return. In closing, two presents to remember me by:

And for those who prefer brighter things:

Edit:

Eh, I'm back - obviously but I'm certainly am not coherent. XD Just woke up, and so this might make for some interesting things.

To the others I forgot:

WD - Flames was indeed one of my favorites this year. Enjoyed it so much I read all the chapters in one night. If Strick and Samuel G. ever collided... Shocked Well, I think it would make a great feature presentation. Popcorn anyone?

Kel - Have had nice wicked laughs in the chat. Razz

And... I'm ceasing on the shoutouts for I've met way too many cool people. You should all know who are, and for that I'm glad.

Faradh gaoths, caraid! Fare winds, friend!

I joined YWS February 20, 2005. I thought I was a strong writer. I thought I had everything figured out, in terms of the world, God, what have you.

Now it is December 16, 2007. I have no confidence as a writer. I question my faith on a daily basis and have no idea what to make of the world.

I sacrificed a long list of internet friends for tangible ones, sitting back and watching the world from my computer screen for taking an active part in it. (That is to say, I sacrificed writing for ... something else.) Was it worth it? It's things like these yearbooks for internet sites that make me question.

Much thanks to Ari and Snoink, two friends I write to occasionally on this website. Also, thank you to those whom I've admired, and consequently have shaped my style.

See you around, possibly.

I read a lot this year!!! I can't remember what I started with.....I just remember that I read Twilight for the fifth time. New Moon for the third time and Eclipse for the first time.

My favorite stories that I wrote this year was my "Forever" short story series/novella. I do intend to make it into a full scale novel eventually.

I could talk to you forever.p
Forever and Always

A whole year? I’ve been here an entire year! There’s so much I can say! However, this will be one post that I’ll keep to a minimum length. ^_^

Nate: I haven’t really spoken to you until just recently. Not only do I sign for you as an admin, but as an acquaintance who will hopefully become a good friend on the site. ^_^

Mesh/Jack: You two are so funny when you're together in the chatroom. XD It's a battle over height that will never end. ^_^

Clau: Fellow MOian and good friend on the site. ^_^ I’m always happy to be around you.

Dono: We always have a good time in chat and I’m glad to have gotten to know you this year. <3

Lindsay: You’ll never be forgotten, my dear Linds. My first real friend on the site. I love you! *hugs*

Ash: You’re always a joy to have in the chat. Smile

Kitty15: I love your critiques and it’s so much fun to talk in chat. ^_^

Kylan: I love your writing and love critting your work. It's such an Honor! [/pun] Razz

Pengu: Just recently we became friends, and am happy we are. ^_^

Squallz: I don’t know why, but I’m always happy to see you in chat. We have such healthy discussions. ^_^ I've never felt so comfortable to talk about my opinions on writing. =/

Mattster: You’re amazing! My bestest AU friend ever! *hugs*

Aet: Another awesome person! *huggles* I turn gray for you! Very Happy

Razor: You’re a fun person. ^_^

Griff: It’s always fun to talk with you. Smile

Gyr: I love you and your pounces. ^_^ I honestly don’t know when we became friends…but I’m glad we are. ^_^

Adam: You're so much fun! I love being with you. ^_^

Vernon: We always have good conversation. ^_^

Kel: Haven't seen you around lately, but it doesn't mean we're not friends anymore. No matter how old you are, you're always welcome here. ^_^

Uo: UO! Lol, we miss ya, girlfriend.

Saint: Did I do you yet? *looks* Nope. You're lots of fun. ^_^

There’s sooo many more people I could name. To the chat junkies ‘cause we have so much fun in there: Alice, Bella, Laf, Bubbles, Chiko, 3B, Reakeda, Flemzo, Mantis, and lots more. I wish my brain capacity was larger, then I’d remember all your names.

To those who read and crit my work. They tend to be long and your crits are most appreciated. ^_^

To those who allow me to crit their work. Critiquing others' work is a learning experience for me. I tend to be more aware of the way I talk and write after reviewing other’s work. Thanks for that opportunity. ^_^

To YWS itself for supporting me and my hobby in writing. I’m happy to say that my scores for the PSAT came in and my Writing Skills was the highest it’s ever been. (87%) I have this site to thank. I have never felt so confident in my writing until now. ^_^ I’m trying to decide if math’s really my favorite subject. o_O It’s very frightening for me, but I’m happy to see that I’m improving my English. ^_^

I’ll, no doubt, edit this post. Thank you YWS for being there for me. I never thought writing as one of my strengths until I joined this site. Hugs for YWS!

Jabber, the One and Only! Smile Smile Smile Smile Razz

Goodness, it has been quite a year. ^_^ Though I've been here on YWS in and out, it has been absolutely fabulous with the new radio show and all the amazing people I've met. This year I've witnessed how supportive everybody here can be through a long summer full of surgery and obsessive writing. The times I haven't been around as much, I've missed everyone terribly.

So, for the shoutouts:

Snoink - though I don't see you around much, every time I do hear from you, I'm ecstatic. FREAK is awesome, despite what your perfectionist censors may say. Wink

Suzanne - I just got to know you this year, but you've been a fantastic friend here on YWS. I've enjoyed chatting and talking to you immensely, and you prompted me to send my first letter in years. Thanks.

Sam - Hehe, you are my inspiration. What more can I say? I hope to get to know you more this year. Very Happy

Fishr - Bound for Glory knocks my socks off. Razz I've enjoyed talking with you a lot. *salutes* And beautiful graveyard picture, by the way.

Shriek - I've missed you tons this year, but the few times I have seen you around have been great. If you ever need another someone to talk to, I would love to catch up with you.

Kylan - Great getting to know you this year. ^_^ I will get to The Oil Fields Are Burning one of these days - promise.

Twit - You're amazing, m'dear. Many hugs for you. Smile

Cal - Hugs for you as well! You're fantastic. Thank you so much for great times.

Wiggy - You've been such a great friend. ^_^ A giant hug for you - thank you for all of your encouragement and for being there when I needed someone to talk to.

To all of SPEW: My dear friends! *hugs the kitten-eaters* How could I live without SPEW? I've loved being with my fellow SPEWites this year. Love you all.

Finally, shoutouts Areida, Mesh, Firestarter, Dreamer, Nate, Grif, Incan, Crysi, Misty, Bubbles, Dark Lordess, Roya and all the people I know I'm forgetting. Thank you all so much for a fantastic year - I hope there are many more. ^_^

I can’t believe that I’ve actually been here for a year. I would say that it seemed like I just joined yesterday, but to tell the truth, with all the sad-happy-annoying-angry-enjoyable-friend making-love filled-stressed out-relaxed-and down right confusing and disturbing times that I’ve had… I MUST have been here for a while. Not once in my life had I ever gone through so many emotions in a year and then ended up absolutely loving it in the end. That’s a record. Wink I thank YWS for making me both strong as a writer and stronger as a friend. So now… the hard part and equally long part: Shout outs!

-Lindsay: Dude, I’m sooooo glad I showed you this site. You totally rock my world. *hugs *

-Rick: You’re awesomer! Enough said. Smile

-Bradness: XD I remember yours was the first comment I saw in the chat room when I entered. I believe it was somewhere along the lines of “What do you think of threesomes?” I knew right then you’d be a friend of mine. Smile You’re incredible, love! (don’t object XD)

-GREG!!!: I misses you! Where have you gone?! I like totally named a hippo after you and then you run off? Well, anyways, I must say: IDK my BFF Greg? Smile Cause I love ya.

-Crysi: Always there to help and answer questions. You are one incredible mod and storybook writer. *highfives*

-Clau: Your writing scares me at times, but I lurve it! Glad I met someone that writes down whatever the heck they wanna!

-Dono: I worship Dono! See? I would have never said that if I hadn’t gone on to YWS. That would have been terrible! Glad I met an awesome person and fellow Californian…which means we’re having one heck of a party when I come of age and you better sing about chili. Smile (that goes for all Californians)

-Kit: I love you and you’re mine no matter what anyone else says! …just thought I’d clear that up before the year was over Wink. You’re like one of those people that always says the right thing at the right time, which means I’m always cracking up when I talk to you. Absolutely awesome. * huggles *

-Andylicious: Do you hate it when I call you that? I certainly hope not. I say it out of love! You’re awesome too! I love answering your questions XD no matter how odd they might be.

-Snoink: You. Totally. Rock. Dude. *bites*

-Griff: Your storybooks are awesome. And you’re a great mod. You deserve cake.

-Mesh: Mesh!! You’re so special! You make me smile. Smile

-Butter (Aet): I really hope you don’t hate your nickname as well. It would crush me! I think you made me laugh the hardest with this>> [Aet Lindling] 11:02 pm: My whipped ice dairy drink brings the attention of many males to my place of residence and/or employment, and they declare that its quality
far surpasses that of yours. Absolutely, it far surpasses yours. I could convey to you
the recipe, but I would have to demand compensation. (yes I still have it. It’s in my blog too Smile )

-Daniel (ShadowKnight): Besides from having the best name in the entire world… You’re a cool friend Lol. I hope you always stay weird so that I know there’s always someone as crazy as me. XD * bites*

-Amelia: XD you surprise me. A great reviewer, and you have time to read my self absorbed blog entries lol. Such a friend. Smile

-Vernon: …dude. I don’t want to mention this anymore…but your accent is awesome. I couldn’t help myself. Sorry. Smile Anyways besides from that. You and Elizabeth are like incredible. I’ve never seen such a love! And your writing is awesome. Hehe

-Mat: I don’t know why but every time you come into chat I smile. Must be all the>> Hello Smile ‘s that you give out. Lol
-Matt: Snickerdoodles! Hehe Smile You’re so incredible too.

-Mark: You’re my inspiration! Your protectiveness has forced me to write a story. Thanks for always being there.

-Scribe: Thanks for always being there in my closet. I can sleep at night knowing I won’t be eaten by bed monsters Wink. And no, I won’t stop undressing you with my eyes. XD

-Fand: I loooooove you! The last time I checked you were in my closet too. Wink * highfives*

-Alex (ZZAP): Traditions! You must always remember them! …and remember to bring me roses too, that’s always extremely pleasant. You make sad days entertaining, love. XD

-Bubbles: At times you’re quiet but I know that it’s only because you’re plotting something. After the silence comes the crazy! You make me laugh out loud.

-Adam: *bows* Fellow spider lover.

-Reak: You always happen to be there when I need help, plus you're really witty. Smile Awesome.

-Alice: Vampires ftw!!

-Penguin: You're so fun! *gives cookies*

-Saint: You make me laugh, like all the time, even though you can't really tell because I'm laughing in my room...and yeah. XD. Yay for laughing!

-Whence: You're cool. I say that with the upmost respect XD...bleh,I still think they should sell you at Spencer's Smile

-Kel: I lovez you too! Such a talented person!Smile Always making me laugh with your suggestive comments. XD

-Nate!!!: You’ve made my life worth while. You should be put up on Mount Rushmore for you mad skills.

-CCF: We pwn.

-All the n00bs and the people that hang around chat aaaaalllll day long, everyday. We don’t need lives. It’s okay to be a junkie. Smile This including (Uo and Megan even though I hardly see them on here anymore. Sad)

**Okay….I can’t mention anymore. I know there are plenty plenty more. More than I can even count, but to name all of the people that have made an impression on my life and become my friends would be nearly impossible. Know that I love you all though! So, I’ll just say… thank you everyone! Woo, now I’m done. You may stop reading if you haven’t already.

~Rieda

Dear YWS,

So this is the end of my... third year here. Wow, so few posts an yet so much to be thankful for. Aside from giving me a distinct sense of when my opinion is not helpful (which might account for my low post-count) this site has taught me that writing isn't just the words you beat onto the keyboard when you feel creative... or frustrated.

I was 15 when I joined. I was idealistic and totally oblivious to the intricacies of being a writer. Sure, I could use words pretty well, but the only benefits were good grades in English. When the writing became the product of an urge rather than a deadline (predominantly because of the exposure to the writing of people in similar situations all over the world), I started to see the world of writing much more clearly. I got past the descriptive language, the excessive use of long words, and found that being a writer isn't about being able to choose words better than others. It's about everything that goes into that particular word. It's about the feelings, the grand ideas and painful experiences, the faith in the fact that when you get it right, nothing can take that away from you. It's about everything that ever happened to you, going into a single word. Several thousand times over. Now, if that doesn't just make you feel a little bit better about writing something that people like, I don't know what will.

So thankyou. All of you. Just the fact that you're here means that you've contributed in some way to the progress I've made as a writer. If there weren't people like you, living the life of a writer and telling others about it, I certainly would not be what I am today. This place cultivated my love of writing, and now I'm going to university to study journalism. Without this silly little site, who knows? Maybe I'd be a philosophy student. *shudders*

So uhhh, it's been a great year. And I promise that next year I'll be more active and maybe I can give back a little more with some critiques.
1000 posts in 2008!

-Luke

Wow...a whole almost two years at YWS? That sounds crazy. No, in fact it IS crazy (just like me--wheee!!! Razz) Erm, yeah...Embarassed Anyways, this site is the most amazing thing that ever happened to me (at least on the Internet lol) and I wouldn't be the same if I hadn't found it today. I've gone through each of the yearbook posts, and I think they're all so cute and meaningful! Like a lot of you guys, I came here as a naive 14 year old that thought she rocked at writing. Well, after reading the amazing stuff on here, my ego's been tapered down most definitely, and I've come to enjoy writing as much as breathing. It's my career in life, and I'll have this site to thank. I'm dedicating my first book to you guys. Very Happy

I think the best part of this site is not only the camaraderie, but the diverse people I've encountered. I've talked to people from Australia to England to Suz, who lives five minutes away from me! I'm gonna shoutout to some really special people on here, and I'll definitely edit in things or people I didn't remember. Sorry in advance if I forget--being a blonde is definitely the reason. Razz

Lucy (Elelel)--My very first friend on here! I seriously sat for hours each night reading all of your blog posts because I loved the whole "developing romance" between you and John. Now that it's budding, it's even more exciting! lol But seriously, you're an amazing person that's gonna wow the world with your music someday, and I'm resolved to meet you. Heck, it's an excuse to go Down Under!

Bechka (Dreamy)--You, my dear, are an amazing person. From polkas to MIS to sporadic emails, I've enjoyed every minute with you, and I can't wait to meet you for Petersburg. I really got to know you on TSR, and again, though I've slacked off on emailing you, you're one of the best friends I have on here. Don't ever forget how special you are, how wonderful your writing is, how talented you are, and how both our "Nanas" are watching over us from heaven. Love you, dearest. *huggles tightly*

Pros--When I first found out you were Becky's brother, my mouth dropped open. You guys had been confusing me with how much you got away ribbing each other, and I'm so glad that you are related. It's like a two for one deal! You're so kind and motivated and caring and awesome, and I cannot WAIT to polka with you in Petersburg. Very Happy

Ari--Sweet, sweet Ari (to copy you lol). I can't believe I found someone who still believes in fairy tales, too! Most people are just like whatever, but you, my dear, are a true princess. Your writing is exquisite, and your The Edge of Forever remains my favorite story to this day! You're so Ari-licious and awesome and friendly and huggable. Thanks for the warm welcome to YWS, too. I don't think I ever thanked you for that! lol You're one of the most amazing people I've ever met, and you definitely are one of the most gorgeouso!

Suz--*tacklehugs* ZOMG, I can't believe I got to meet someone from YWS! Actually, when I first found out you lived in St. Louis, it didn't register as in Missouri (another blonde moment...). You're absolutely stunning, and with all the hard work you do, I know you're going far someday. I love our late night phone conversations that last for at least an hour, and meeting up with you and seeing your play and meeting your family was great. You have such an energy for life, and I wouldn't give you up for the world. You're awesome, dahling, and don't ever forget it. Wink

Jacko--My back in black dude! *high fives* You have got to be the coolest member on here, seriously. You're just one of those people that everyone has to like, and you're a fantastic writer. Even though school's been keeping you away, you're always on my mind and heart. I miss you, so come back and visit more often! The one word to describe you is amazing. Always stay that way.

Imp--*on guard* Besides being our resident fencing champion, you're also one of the most talented writers on here. I know, again, we haven't talked a lot, but I still have a great deal of respect for you and your kind heart. I can't wait to meet you someday, too!

Stevi/WD--Do you remember I told you once that I thought that you were one of the "elite" members of YWS? Well, I still consider you as one. Smile Your committment to writing is astounding, as is your kindness towards all. You're amazing, and hope to talk to you even more this year!

Calv (Trident)--Tee smeshnoy ee ocheen kharosho! I've loved our sporadic pms, and I love reading your blog. I'd love to meet you someday, and you're a great writer to boot. Yayness for Russian--I love learning it along with someone. Very Happy Three prongs ftw!

Luke (Inertia)--You're always one of the first ones to respond to my blog posts, and you're so incredibly caring. The fact that you have red hair is friggin' amazing, too! I still can't believe you're only 17! You seem like 21 or something. Razz Keep being awesome, mate!

Mythie--You haven't been on as much lately, darling, but you're one of my favorite people on here. You're like a mysterious/awesome/fantabulous person all at once, and YWS isn't the same without you. Smile

Samichan!!!--Gah, did I almost forget you? You are the most brilliant 13 year old (now 14, right?) to walk this planet. Your writing is superb, and you have the best sense of humor ever. I'm so coming to Nebraska someday, and you are going to teach me how to cornhusk!

Snoinkus--The pig queen, the one, the only Snoinkus! What I can say to sum you up? Well, I can't. So just know you're awesome and that FREAK is going to get published someday. And when it does I"ll send you your own personal pig hat! Btw, you have the prettiest name ever!

Dono--Prom king ftw! No matter how much you feel alone in this world, you are one of the most beloved members on here. Your superb intellect is only one of the many facets to the best looking guy on here! *bows down*

Aero--You are the only guy that's ever called me babe, and I love it! You're the gangstah to my...ice cream! Yeah, don't know where that one came from. Thanks for all the chats and fun we've had though. TTYS, babe. Wink

Nate--The best admin ever!! You are SO awesome for setting up this site, and thanks for making it possible for me to meet everyone on here. You're amazing, and I love your chimpiness! Monkeys ftw!

Crysi--Darling, you are one of the strongest women I know who's not afraid to kick butt when needed and flies the skies a mile high. You're amazing, and keep on soaring, even when life gets you down. Smile

Lizzles/Vernon--To one of the cutest couples on here! Lizzles, when life gets you down, you know who to PM, and I know you two will meet someday!

Pro--I will forever be your Goldi! You are soooo incredibly funny/cynical, and I love having you around. Stay as awesome as you are.

Bubbles--Cramming ftw! (I'm using that expression a lot, aren't I? lol) Seriously, you're awesome, and I love how you are so bubblicious! PRocrastinators unite...tomorrow!

I know I'm forgetting people, and I'm so sorry if I've forgotten you. I will edit you in later, but I told you, as a Wiggy, I can't guarantee to remember everything. I'm a blonde, remember?

To another great year!

The Always Insane YWS member,
Wiggy Wink

It's been a great year. So much has happened to me in these past months that I have been on YWS and I can think of no better a community to share my thoughts/ideas/ramblings with other than those here at YWS.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has ever critiqued my work or even replied to one of my posts. It means a lot.

Nate: For being the best admin on the planet. Without you, none of this would ever have happened.

Heather: I don't even know what to say. We've known each other from the very first post you ever made and I can truly say that you're one of the most amazing people I know. You're a great writer and your crits are fab. You always look out for us lot. Thanks for being there.

Kyle: My Welsh dude. Never stop being the cool, witty guy you are. Thanks for your many great blog entries that never cease to transfix me.

Twit: I salute you my dear. Scarab was great and your blog is even better. My talks with you have always been helpful and I just want to say.....high five.

Meevs: My Ipswich lass. Your crits have always been welcomed and our friendship so valued. Many hugs!

Choco: The sweetest girl I know. Your crits are always a ray of sunshine.

Sumi: Who doesn't like you? Hehe. We joined on the same day and you were the first person to ever sign my guestbook. You're such a funny, honest person and I admire you for that.

Jenna: You have given me advice, motivated me to write and generally been a super person.

Not to forget JC, PN and KR.

I probably have left some people out. I love far too many people on here and if I were to list everyone I have ever communicated with you'd fall asleep. Very Happy

So, here's to YWS! May '08 be as fabulous as '07!

I thought I would put off writing on here until I have something profound to say, but I fear that day might never come. Laughing So instead, I will thank you all for making my three years here such a pleasure. I hope 2008 will be as much fun as 2007, and would like to thank the following people for making it particularly great:

Vernon and Elizabeth, for being the adorable resident YWS couple and being great friends to me even away from YWS.

Wiggy, among others, for replying to my blog posts, be they happy or woeful.

Muse, for being my uber cool Scottish Muse fan buddy *too many adjectives*. Smile

Jack, Hunter, little.angelfire, Jabber and everyone else who was in the chat room last night.

Brad, for being so refreshingly honest with his critiques.

Nate for his great ideas, and also all the other moderators who keep the site running.

All the familiar faces - Areida, Mesh, Snoink, Crysi, Grif, Jennafina, Sam, Cpt Smurf and countless others.

Here's to a totally awesome 2008! Smile

Here's my entry!

First, to Mantis, who was upset in the chatroom at not being mentioned by anyone in the yearbook. Here's your mention! Have a happy new year!

Saint Razorblade, soon as I get off my lazy butt to write you your next letter, it'll be chock full of Flemmy goodness. Merry Christmas.

little.angelfire, who knew you lived so close to me! Two hours is definitely not as far as a lot of the members here. We'll definitely go to MOA, and I'll finally see what this stupid shark you keep mentioning is.

Suzanne... umm... Merry Christmas? I'm not sure what to say, but you're obviously worth a mention.

Aet, always a pleasent chat presence. Little gags, like all changing to laf's color, are always funny, even if they don't work out, like all changing to laf's color.

JabberHut, who just told me that she mentioned me, here's your mention. You deserve it. Huzzah for you!

Hunter... well, he's a mod, and you always mention the mods. It's just a rule.

author13, always fun to chat with. The end.

To everyone in the chatroom at any given point in time: what a crazy bunch. You'd swear that they let the psycho ward onto their own computers at any given point in time. That's what makes it so fun I guess.

To anyone I didn't mention: I guess you weren't that memorable. Better step it up next year. Razz

*akward clearing of throat*

Well...what can I say? It has been a very long three years with my dear YWS. Three years, three NaNoes, 1,000 reviews- where would be the wee hours of weekend nights without you?

Playing Tetris, that's where. And that's where a big thank you is due. I remember Nate talking about how some kids had "grown up with TYWC". I'm proud to say that I have grown up with YWS. When I joined, I was but a mere scrap of n00bage- ditzy, illiterate, and without a proper idea in my head of how good writing was done. Three years later, I still have moments where my brain escapes me, still have problems figuring out those bloody semicolons, and am still struggling a bit with this whole writing thing- but I am lightyears ahead of where I was. See how I'm using capitalization and forming complete sentences? Case in point.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Nate. He's done an amazing job of keeping this site up and running, and without him, the tremendous, amazing community that is YWS would cease to exist. *tips hat*

Thank-yous that I owe, more individualized:

AREIDA: I will always think of you as the YWS Princess. You're positively regal- always happy, finding the good things in life, rocking out to the Beatles while making snocones. You're one of those people who can always make me smile, and I am so proud of you for getting that senatorial [is that a word] nod for West Point. *sigh* I supposed you can be the West Point princess, too. ^_~

KYLAN: You're probably one of the most amazing writers I have ever read, online or off. Not to mention, you have this sense of dignity and originality that I can't get enough of- I hope I'll get the chance to read some more of your work in the coming year.

SNOINK: For teaching me that third person pwns face, and that it's never too late to revise.

FISHR: For rambling with me about history on and on and on...I do love that spunky Samuel Garrison, and I hope you write some more of him. I'd be glad to read it.

DREAM DEEP: You're one of those effortlessly elegant people...it eludes me, to make a theme of all these 'e' words.^_~ In any case, I hope to run into you in Moscow some day. We'll have tea from a samovar and talk of intellectual things. And possibly Russian boys.

CALIGULA'S LAUNDERETTE: For one the best Christmas present I could ever recieve, as well as Retrospect. You're one of the few people I can ramble to without worrying about being dragged off to the loony bin afterwards. Additionally, you have probably the quirkiest prose I've ever come across- and I'm fanatically in love with it. Cheers to Regan and Archie...hopefully the Etrazia will leave them alone?

WRITERSDOMAIN: I associate the word "motivate" with cheesy things, but I do not think you're cheesy...not in the least! You motivate me, at any rate- to hurry up and get things done. Your books are so interesting, and well written- I hope I'll get the chance to read a few next year.

WIGGY: You make me so happy! You have such enthusiasm for life- it's really cool. I always feel like you care about me, and I definitely hope your prince charming realizes how charming you are.

JOEDUCKTAPE: Sufjan Stevens FTW! You're hilarious, and I am probably your number one fan. Please write more...things in general? I love reading them.

JACK: You're just one of those effortlessly cool people...and you taught me how to load a musket. A lesson that I will never, ever forget. It always comes in handy, yes? I dearly hope you have a great 2008.

BRAD: You gave me my first real critique...*nostalgic sniff* Just know that I care about you and have great respect for you. You're an amazing poet, and I know that good things will come.

SUZANNE: Ooer. You know I adore you...what more is there to say? XD Lots, actually- you are an amazing friend, and an excellent writer. Additionally, our Fraus are freakishly similar. CD is quite amazing, and you don't look at me strangely...although, it is not my fault that many of my characters pine for Rosen.

Hopefully, your Nazis will do you proud. I'll be waiting to read it.

MISTY: Ich liebe dich. ^_~ Congratulations on the C in German! Among other things. Just know that I will always think of it as Postman, and there is no way you could mess up such a beautiful, amazing story. You could take it and burn it and paint ugly faces upon it and I would still love it, no matter what the title is. Additionally, I love Ravenbaby...

INERTIA: You're smart, witty, philosophical- refreshing qualities, I must say. I hope life beyond secondary education serves you well. ...at least I think that's what you graduated from? ^_~ Eergh, foreign school systems confuse me.

TRIDENT: I can't thank you enough for your critiques and encouragement- you're talented, and I hope to read more of you in the next year. ^_^

SKYE: You are just a genuinely cool person- smart, stylish, all of that jazz. I hope you have a wondrous 2008.

If I have forgotten you, eat me. ^_~ Or just know that I love and care about you, whoever you may be.

I'll make this brief, since I don't know who to put...

Pingi-Pingi, you deserve to be on every members list. You are ausome and everyone loves you! 'Specially me! You have been there when I've been sad and when I've been happy and you made me feel loved! I luff you, pimp Pingi!

Wiggy/ Other Lucy-Thanks for the great advice on my blog! It really made me feel like someone was listening and caring! You are both great people! Thankee.

Mat-My man-twin. 'Nuff said.

Chat Weirdies-Bubbly, Mattimus, Libness, Nut, LAF, Jen, Lauren, Sig, Rea, others that I can't remember... basically, all of you who stay on chat all night long talking about kooky and random things. Luff you all.

That'll do. I have better things to do.
