YWS has many scripts, but only a few really impressed me. Scripts are not such a popular art on this site.
For this contest, you just have to write a script.
The guidelines:
1. Doesn't matter how long the script is. Just don't make it TOO long, like 200 lines. I'd actually be more impressed by minimal amount but extreme intensity.
2. Make it about ANYTHING interesting.
3. NO OLD WORKS PLEASE!
4. Submit as many as you want.
The rewards:
1st place: 3 critiques and 500 points
2nd place: 2 critiques and 200 points
3rd place: 1 critiques and 100 points
Contest ends: January 15, 2007
You may post the links to your entries here, or PM them to me if you wish to not post them.
I judge on:
a) originality
b) logic
c) entertaining effect
d) emotion
e) spelling and grammar
f) if I like it or not!
Some tips for f) are:
Don't make it too fantasy related, with dragons and warriors, etc.
Make it very human.
You are not specified to any of the above, and if it is fantasy but is REALLY good, you still have an excellent chance to win.

| I haven't written a script for almost two years but I used to be pretty good at them or so my drama teacher said. I think I might try this if I have time. |

I have yet to write a script. I've never tried. But I've always wanted to. So maybe this is the opportune time to try it.  |

HAHA--I was just mentally trying to make this year a little longer, it went way too fast. Sometimes I even catch myself writing 2006 on my papers.
Anyhow, I will change the date forward a bit. Would January 10 be a good date? (I just realized, also, I won't be here Jan. 1--going to be in my home country ISRAEL!) |
