For fourteen years of my life, I went by the name Lee; it's my middle name. I decided to start going by my first name (Nathaniel) in high-school since I was getting bored with the name. However, I now kind of wish I still went by Lee. Of course, many people do call me by that name, but the majority of those who've only known me since high-school call me Nate. It's actually weird sometimes; I still think of myself as Lee and sometimes I don't know who to introduce to others: Nate or Lee?
With regards to personal details, I was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and my dad was in the Navy at the time (yes, there is a Navy base in landlocked Idaho). Only lived there for six weeks, so, needless to say, I don't remember anything about it. But it is the potato state and my favorite foods all involve potatoes. After Idaho, I lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for five years and then in Connecticut for three years. Ever since I was eight, I've lived in Maryland in the Washington DC area (the good side of it).
Right now, I'm going to law school at Catholic University in Northeast Washington, D.C. I'm just in my first year so I am still not quite sure what I will concentrate in, although my hope is to join Navy JAG. For college I went to St. Mary's College of Maryland (public) and earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics along with a minor of Math. Back then, I actually wanted to be a sixth grade math teacher, and I still do. I figure, though, that I can be a teacher at any time in my life. But if I want to do something else, then I should do it now
As for other details about me; I like reading, writing, running, and swimming. I get most of my ideas while running and try to do at least 15 miles a week; I find that it's pretty relaxing (afterwards, not during) and relieves a lot of stress. Plus, it keeps me in shape at a time in my life when that's increasingly hard to do. For instance, most of my friends from college are gaining those pot bellies now, and we're only 24.
Anything else? My favorite color is blue, my favorite food are french fries (spaghetti is a close second), my favorite genre is science-fiction, and my favorite TV show is Battlestar Galactica.
However, the question I get asked me is "Why did you start YWS?" I often have that same question myself! But what it boils down to is I hated how all the young writers web sites back in 2004 were in the process of dying. I tried to bring back one from the dead, but the admin ignored my e-mails and so I started up my own. I just remember how much writing clubs helped me back in high-school, and I want to make sure others have that same opportunity. Of course, there are times where I wish I never started YWS, but for the most part, I love running this site. |

Degrees in economics and math?
My my my. We have quite an intelligent one on our hands here.
That sounds wonderful, all except for the moving around bit. Never liked moving.
Glad to have you as adminastrator, NateLee. |

The Simpsons totally rule! Our school is getting a new pool built too, but I hate swimming at school because I would have it first thing on a Monday and there fore would have to walk around with my hair wet for the entire day (It's long and incredibly thick, but I somehow manage to grow it straight). Boys are lucky because most of them have their hair short. Procrastination is my life lol. I am meant to be doing English homework. |

Wow, so there was actually a time when you didn't want to start YWS?
It's good that you made YWS. It is real fun and I'm glad you decided to keep on doing it. It is a nice place where I can just relax and read. |

Yeah, I can't see why you would regret making the site--unless it takes up a lot of your freetime or something like that! I'm glad you made YWS, even if you aren't!
Wow, I can't imagine moving from place to place a lot. I know a lot of "Army Brats", as they surprisingly want me to call them, and one has been to every state in the U.S and a few countries out of the U.S! I can't imagine all that moving! This'll be my first time moving--we've lived in this house for 11-12 years and now I'm fourteen. It's VERY stressful. All my memories are in this house. I barely remember anything before this house. |

Well, even if you sometimes wish you hadn't started it, you should know that there are about 3000 people who are so desperately glad that you did! It changed my life:) (yeah that sounds totally sappy, but I couldn't think of any other way to put it. Leave me alone!)
Oh, I agree with Rick. You should write a biography book! That would be so awesome:) You're so awesome.
Ooh, can I call you Lee then? Or would that just add to the confusion about your name, since everybody else here will still call you Nate?
You Are The Best:)
