BBB> haha, I would have all the chapters outlined if I had enough time/ideas. You're doing it the cool way. Smile I'm freestyling the end. It will be horrorifying.

As to making it long enough? Ramble. Ramble and ramble and ramble. Ramble about setting, ramble about weather, ramble about the event just happened. Repeat yourself. Say the same thing in two different sentences in two different ways. Echo. Echo. [I seriously added an echo to my story last year. XD] Ramble about your characters emotions.

I call this word padding, but word padding is really getting your words out so you're ahead of the count... *shrugs* Just use more words than you normally would. XD It's rather fun. I'm going to learn how to describe!

Echo example from last years NaNoWriMo:

She must have lit it, but why? But why? (echo, o, o, o)

See, when it is late at night, or early in the morning, or when ever, and you just want to get the words out, you do stuff like that, hahaha.

And you spell "dirt" "durt."

^ My genius NaNoism from last year.

Collect dares. Dares definitely help. Actually, I'm about to go dare-hunting right now... (It's dare-hunting season! ...er, sorry.) Of course, sometimes you'll be so sleep-deprived you'll come up with a "fabulous" idea on your own. Like my idea to have a running joke about eggplants. Oh, Lord.

Trust me. It's hilarious and fun and thrilling and exhausting and you'll love it.

...gotta finish my outline. Why'd you have to remind me?

Yeah...filibustering is probably the best NaNo invention. XD Just have them pick a random topic and talk about it for ages and ages- it's quite fun to do and you can boost a hundred, two hundred words by it.

Hahah, I just got the thing about filibustering with phone books.

About six hours left. In New Zealand, anyway. =O And if I understand what filibustering is, then my story actually starts with a whole lot of it. Laughing

*emerges from banging head against the wall with the grin of a simpleton*

Okay, so I just spent about four hours thinking up a plot, then went to bed, and woke up thinking, "Hey, that sounds a lot like Lazybones...so why don't I just write that?"

Blargh. I suppose I must be back in the 100K boat, like it or not. But! I think D will be 75, and Lazybones 25. It makes me happy that way, at least.

Midnight epiphanies for the win. -_-

Just under 3hrs now for us! *dances*

Unfortunately, the fact that I have an exam on Friday and oodles to study means that I will barely be able to start until next Monday *sobs* SO UNFAIR! What's the use of being among the first to hit November if you can't get started?!

I still think you should stay up until midnight and get started with me. Wink I have school tomorrow, but oh well. Hopefully I don't lose track of too much time...

Hahhahahhahha. Sam... You're great. So you ended up thinking on "new plot" And only got Bones? It's okay if you spend more time on D because I love Suki and Carl and Smallpox! Yay, Smallpox!

^_^ Does anyone know the exact time they start? It obviously isn't "midnight everywhere" or... is it? >_>

I've got about twelve more hours until NaNo. I was planning on staying up until midnight to get started (I was hoping to put in an hour or so of writing), but my prof has claimed my time from 9:30 tonight until 1 am tomorrow morning, at which point I will be dropping into bed.

Hopefully, I will find the time to get started tomorrow night. *crosses fingers* I may even be rebellious and put in an hour of writing time even after my professor lets us go.

*starts cheering for the people who are approaching the starting line* I'll be there in a minute!

Yeah, I'm in CST.

Well, I managed to find out that it does start at midnight, regardless of your time zone in relation to others. Which makes sense, but I think it would be cooler if we were all in the same general time zone, but that wouldn't work for some I guess. XD

Now I'm trying to find word count widgets to put on my live journal.

Maybe I should take a nap so I can stay up tonight.
