Hey guys! I know that this is like the most stupid and random play you have ever read, but hey, I wrote this for a scout thing once to get a merit badge, and it had to be at least 5 mins long, so here it is! Welcome to the Stranded!

Charactors

Robby- Lee's brother

Lee- Robby's brother

Narrator- Narrator (no, really?)

Shakeya- Man eating Lion

Scene 1
On the ship’s deck

Narrator: Oh, what a beautiful sunset! You see, this is the Caribbean Cruise of 2007. Yes, yes, many people are on board. Look around!

(People are seen walking, talking, laughing and having fun. Robby and Lee are seen walking from Right to Left, but pause in the center stage)

Narrator: You see those two boys over there? They are what are called brothers. Their names are Robby, and the other is Lee. They are here, sailing to the Carribbeans on the maiden voyage of the Buster. Buster is a brand new cruise ship.

(Narr. looks around at people and he looks sad)

Narrator: If only they knew what was about to happen…

(Lights slowly fade out)

Scene 2
Robby and Lee’s room

(Light comes in on room. Lee is sleeping. Robby is not there)

Lee: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (snore)

(Robby enters from right. He crashes through the door and falls down. He acts like the ship is sinking, wavering and falling clumsily)

Robby: Oh, Lee! Lee, help me! Help me!

(Lights blink on and off multiple times)

Robby: The ship is sinking! The ship is sinking!

(Lee wakes up and goes back to sleep)
Lee: Shut up! Go back to bed, Robby!

Robby: Lee, the ship is sinking!

Lee: Huh? What are you talking about?

Robby: We have to go! The ship is sinking!

(Lee gets up from bed and falls to the ground. The boys scream and are thrown around the room. Lights continue to blink. Suddenly, all lights go out)

Scene 3
Island

(Lights go on. Narr. is sadly looking at Lee and Robby. Their clothes are torn)

Narrator: If only I were a real person, I could have warned them. (Sigh) The boat did sink. Miraculously, these two brothers floated here! (Pause) Life is full of surprises. The only question I have is…where is here? I mean, the play is called Stranded, not Stranded on Hawaii or Stranded on New Zealand. Where are we?

(There is a moan offstage)

Narrator: Oh, yes! Let’s get the popcorn! The show is about to start!

(Narrator exits Left and shouts to the boys offstage)

Narrator: Wake up! Wake up Robby! Wake up Lee! The script says this is where the ferocious lion is supposed to attack you!

(Boys jump up, screaming. They look around the stage for the lion. The lion, Shakeya, sneaks up behind them. The boys turn around and scream at the sight of the lion)

Shakeya: Roar! I am the terrible Shakeya! I will eat you up! Every last one of you!

(Shakeya chases them around the stage. Narr. comes onto the stage from Left with a bowl of popcorn. Narr. throws popcorn at Shakeya as he runs by him. The two boys split up and go Left and Right. They go offstage)

(To the Narr.

Shakeya: Arrgh! Shakeya will eat you, and your popcorn along side with you!

(Narr. gasps)

Narrator: Never!

(Narr. runs offstage, Right. Shakeya stands at the front and speaks to the audience)

Shakeya: Let me tell you a secret… (pause) DON’T LOOK AT ME!

(Shakeya runs off Right and Narr. says offstage)

Narrator: Don’t eat my popcorn! It’s mine!

Scene 4
Island

(Narr. is on stage, watching Robby and Lee eat a meal. He rubs his stomach, wanting food)

Narrator: It has been three days since we have been on this island. Shakeya has disappeared, and I’m STARVING!

Robby: Hey, Lee, how long do you think it will take before they find us?

Lee: I don’t know, you are the older brother, you should know!

(Silence for a moment)

Lee: I miss mom

Robby: I miss real food.

Lee: I miss my room.

Robby: I miss Jessica.

Lee: Is Jessica your girlfriend?

(Robby nods)

Lee: I miss my bed.

Robby, Lee, and Narrator: I miss my toilet!

(There is a roar offstage)

Robby: It’s Shakeya!

Narrator: It’s my stomach!

(Shakeya comes running in from Right and growls. Narr. screams and runs around the stage)

Robby: Lee, stand behind me!

(Lee stands behind Robby. Robby grabs a rock and pretends to throw it at Shakeya. Narr. stops running and grumpily says)

Narrator: I don’t have any more popcorn! You ate it all!

(Shakeya glares at the two brothers, and is scared off by a honking noise. Brothers turn around and gasp)

Lee: It’s the boat! It is here to rescue us!

(Shakeya runs toward Robby and tackles him)

Robby: Uf!

(They wrestle. Narr. is dancing in joy. No on notices the fight.

Lee: The boat is here! The boat is here! The boat is here! Robby, the boat is—Robby!

(Lee sees the fight and pulls the lion off of Robby, knocks the lion on the head with the rock and Shakeya faints. Narr. exits joyfully at Right and returns with another bowl of popcorn)

Lee: Rob, are you okay?

Narr: All is good. This is all mine, baby, all mine.

(Narr. eats the popcorn)

Robby: I’m fine. We are going to be rescued!

Scene 5
Apron

(Narr. has bowl of popcorn in his hands)

Narrator: So, that is that, they were rescued by the boat and guess what? (Pause) I’M STILL STUCK ON THE ISLAND! Yeah, they forgot me, the most important character of this play! (Sigh) Oh, well. I have a huge stash of popcorn hidden from Shakeya. Luckily, he hasn’t found the popcorn yet—

(Shakeya’s voice is heard offstage)

Shakeya: What is this? What? No way! POPCORN! ALL MINE!

Narrator: NOOOOOOOO!

(Narr. runs back through the curtains. Curtains open, displaying all of the characters lined up, bowing. The show is over)

THE END

You know.. you can like critique it if you want... just saying ya know?

This is the only typo I see in your play. Who would say this? I don't know! I'd assume people know what brothers are! Also, it sounds so wierd!

The rest of your play is sorta-funy though. I like the popcorn part. The sad part is I probaly critiqued your play for nothing.

Thats life! Very Happy

Well... I don't know. I didn't find it that funny. The whole point of the play seems to be the narrator, and I just didn't find him that funny. I found him amusing at first, and then I found him annoying. I don't know. It wasn't that bad, I mean, I guess seeing it wouldn't be boring or anything, but right now it seemed like it was just... a waste of time. That doesn't mean it's terrible, it means that it just doesn't stand out in any way. But you're definatly very creative with the use of the medium, you should try making a play where you can exploit that a bit more.
