As YWS matures, some members find that the site no longer fits them as they joined at 16, but are now 19 or 20. However, they also don't want to leave the site as they love the community here.

In an effort to help those kind of members, I just started up a writing web site for older writers only at:

http://www.thewriterssociety.com

Some will remember JustGoat from years past (which had a similar theme to it). However, TWS will not be like JG; that is, whereas I purposefully made JG a site for all writers 18+, I am gearing TWS only toward those who were members at YWS when they were younger. Of course, I won't bar other adult writers from joining, but I'm not going to advertise the site anywhere except for YWS.

This is a really good idea, Nate. I give you props! Unfortunately I'm only 16. I'll be there in a couple of years, though. ^_~

I'll join right now! Thanks!

...does that mean we aren't allowed to post our things on YWS anymore?

Yay! I've been worrying about what would happen when I got (technically) too old for YWS Laughing

It's totally up to you. Might even be good to post in both places.

Hypothetically Wink if one should wish to join but have not been here since pre-18 years, can one still joinerate? Or would they be unwelcomed in their newbie status?

That's awesome, Nate! I don't think I could bear to outgrow the Writers' Society system altogether. I shall certainly 'migrate' when I am of age (sounds so ceremonious) Very Happy Again, Nate, you rock!
