Ok, I wrote this, and this is my entree!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is that? Gosh, it was terribly annoying!
The rustling grew louder, now more obnoxious, and I finally couldn’t take it any longer. My eyes snapped open and I whipped my head from off of my pillow, and looked around.
I stared right into the eyes of a big, black bear.
Panic took a hold of me, despite my sudden urge to scream. I was frozen in that spot, in my sleeping bag, in the tent. The bear was staring at me, waiting for me to make a move. Its fur was ruffled in some areas, but otherwise, it was sleek as could be. It reminded me of my teddy bear, back at home. Except that this one was huge and staring right at me.
Its eyes were narrow and black, and it seemed to pierce through my eyes. There was silence, and then –
“R-R-R-RAAWR!” the bear growled, and I finally could belt out a scream that I was sure woke up the entire forest. I pulled myself up on my feet, and the bear growled and shook its furry head.
I backed up against the fabric wall of the tent, terrified. I am sure that I had wet myself a bit. My insides were freezing cold, and my muscles seemed to clamp up again. I was trapped inside a terrified body!
The bear took another couple of steps, and it was now standing on top of my sleeping bag.
The doorway was clear. Could I risk it? Being myself, a girly girl of eleven years old, I knew that I did not have the guts to pick up my frozen feet and scamper towards the door. But also, if I did not, the bear might attack me –
The bear made a sudden lurch at me, and my feet once again unlocked, but my legs did not, and I fell down, onto my brother’s sleeping bag. The bear was standing above me now, and I screamed for help.
I rolled out from under him and pushed myself towards the tent door. The bear roared again, and I scrambled to my Jell-o-y feeling feet. I wobbled into the forest, knowing that my parents would –
“Karen!” someone cried. I stopped and almost tripped over a branch of a tree. I spun to the right and saw my mother, running over to me.
“Mom! The-the-the tent! There is a b-b-bear!” I shrieked. She looked over to the tent. The door was open, but there was no bear inside of it.
“Karen! Don’t give me another scare like that again!” she scolded me.
“But-I-“ I couldn’t finish my sentence. The bear was gone. |
The Ravens Fall
-----------------------x
A ravens craw in the southern skies,
A sound of fear for the Inuit spies.
A shot;
and a bang,
Another gift of their despise.
The ravens fall from the tree,
A call from death and straight to me
My love;
and my tears.
I'm the Raven clan; and I'm the key.
The deathly leader from the group,
Leading war to my troupe.
A death;
and a birth,
It's just another loop.
The raven guarded our way of life,
The gunshot produced all our strife.
Listen now;
and right here.
I'm the Reaper with my scythe.
-------------------------------------x
Wow. That's a bad composition. Trust me. I havent worked on it. With only 10 minutes spare it was all i thought of.
My story is about a wolf... I'll post it next time as I'm going to be getting on my plane soon! I'll be back on the forums within a week, if not before depending on the hotels computers.
Bye x |
