I will enter this contest -- the rough draft I gave you, 'dettie, is to be disregarded. It wasnt, of course, meant for this, but just in case you got confused...
Its coming along nicely now I've done some revising. |

This is the draft of my entry, but it will probably be tidied up slightly by the time the deadline rolls around.
Hail Mary
And here's the original.

The original was more of a springboard for the story, so mine's not exactly a retelling... I hope that's okay. |

It is very sad for me to ask you this the day before it's due, but...can we use a story we've heard? I heard a folk tale at the library when I was seven or eight; and it was the creepiest thing I'd ever heard prior and so I wrote down the bare bones and found them today.
Serendipity, or no? XD So- may I be excused the second part, of providing a link? |

*flails* ooer, sam, I dunno. I trust you really did hear this, but even so you would be entering unfairly. Everyone else had to give me proof.
So... I love you, but no =[
And on another note: judging might take a long while >_< I do have a few judges lying around, but I need to clear up who is actually judging and figure out how I am going to send around all the entires. Hopefully I'll finish judging before the 23rd of August [my first day of school] otherwise nothing will happen, haha.
When the competition does end, I will post a list of all the entries I have received, that way I don't somehow miss someone.
Best of luck! |

| This sounds fun. I think I will give it a go. I must ask--can it be a parody or are you looking for a more seroius work? |

Ooh, only have a few days, but I'm entering! *Putters off to look at book of Grimm's Fairy Tales*
~Luna~
PS: is it alright if I use a book, and provide you with the title of the book, the publisher, the name of the fairy tale and everything? In case I can't find it online? |

Sure ^_~ I can then try to at least find a brief description of the myth, and that'll do. It is at least proof that you are rehashing something!
I look forward to the entry. |

| Sweetness! That's what I'm doing with my entry (my Russian tutor loaned me a book of fairy tales-or rather loaned my family lol). Now to decide which one to do it on! |
