NOTE: I know I did one of these a few months back, and no, I didn't ever judge it Laughing my computer died, lost the files, and more than half of the people who entered weren't active afterwards, anyway, so it just never happened. But if you entered in the previous one, you can reenter your piece again into this one. Sorry about that.

Basically, you have to rewrite a myth or faerie tale, and make it your own. Maybe change the ending, or the way things happened, or just base your story off of it. It can be any myth or faerie tale, but you have to send me a link to the original story with you entry. You can post it here, or in the literary section, just so long as I have a link to it here.

For prizes, the first place winner gets five in depth critiques from me on anything of their choice, and 1,000 points.

For second place, three in depth critique from me and 500 points.

Third place gets one in depth critique, and no points.

If I have enough entries, I'll have fourth and fifth honorable mention Very Happy

This contest will run for a month, so it starts today and will close on 8 August.

Also, if anyone would like to help me judge, I'd love you! two other judges would be nice, unless this doesn't get too big. If you have any questions, post them.

...I'd like to enter.

My word isn't quite on it, as I wouldn't want to break that. ^_~ But perhaps on in between times, I can scrape an entry out of something. ^_^

If you need someone to judge, i'd love to help. I grew up on fairly tales and myths and stuff. I have whole bookshelves full of stuff from ghosts to camolot.

To Everyone who is asking me if they can be a judge:

I really hate to be biased on this, but I am looking for people with slightly more experience, and some people I just don't know much about. I already have one judge picked out, and as far as I know I might not need any, or one might be enough.

Sorry ^_^ But thank you very, very much for offering! Look at it this way, if you judge, you can't enter!

I've re-written fairy tales before, so we'll see what comes out this time. Smile Hopefully I won't procrastinate so long I miss the deadline!
