This is something I've been stewing on recently. If you haven't noticed, storybook posts trend to reflect the author's own character.

So I thought: why not have a storybook where you have to play someone else's character?

I'm all for this.

I don't have a particular storyline in mind, but is anyone else interested in the idea?

You mean like create a character opposite to your own personality? That's always fun.

I think she means, everyone makes a character profile, then picks someone else's to play... Confused

EDIT: Oops, didn't even look at who it was. Embarassed

I have seen some storybooks where character profiles were all ready posted (usually by the author). Usually the creator will only put in very basics, they'll let the other authors fill in the other stuff.

The author has to possess their own character after awhile. So, it can start off as someone elses character, but it won't stay that way.

Basically the second part of Grif's post Razz

I was thinking that people post their profiles, then pick another profile from someone else. Temporary buddies Razz eventually, the character will 'become' yours, but for now you have to improv on the information given. I think it would be a lot of fun.

Anyone interested?

Sure. So I write a profile and someone else adopts my character. Sounds interesting. What's the theme of the story then?

I said I didn't have a particular story idea in mind, though the fantasies whirling around the forums are getting a little tiresome....

Superheroes would be a nice theme, I think.

Sounds fine to me.

Name= Tabitha
Age= 16
Powers= Can fly and has super strength
Hair= Chestnut brown
Eyes= Sharp and deep green
Personality= Sweet and caring. Never tires of saving the world from danger.

Is that enough information? Only we don't want to outline the characters too far right?

There are a lot of fantasies out there.

One thing that is missing are some Science Fiction storybooks. They usually experience a high turn over, higher than fantasy anyways. My next storybook may very well try to make a good sci-fi, but that will take some more thought.

Right. For example, I know I would die if I got stuck with a superhero dressed in plaid Wink so leave uber-details like that out.

Martin Baker

Age: 17

Powers: Papermastery

Hair: Black

Eyes: muddy brown

Personality: A genius with information, and a brilliant strategeist. Doesn't like getting his hands dirty, but reasonably friendly.

Click on it....nevermind, the page went all funky, anyway....

Wiki wrote:

"In the anime and manga series Read or Die, a papermaster (also paper master, paper-master, Papermaster, and in Japanese Paper User (紙使い, kamitsukai?)) is a person who has telekinetic control over paper, so much so that a person with the ability can make paper bulletproof or sharper than the sharpest sword. Parallels can be drawn between papermasters and the various Green Lantern characters in DC Comics' stories."

This seems pretty awesome if you ask me.

Name: Trinity Black
Age: 16
Powers: superspeed and power over plants
hair: light brown
eyes: green
Personality: very environmental, but isn't always very nice. Has temper issues and hates the way people treat the earth.

This may be a possible "bad guy." I don't know.
