(Sorry about the long wait for this chapter. My sister tripped over the cords for my laptop and knocked it on the floor. Even though it was her fault I got in trouble for not putting it away, even though my sister was the last one using it.)
The conductor repeated through the train’s P.A. system. “Next stop, Timber… Timber…” Everyone slowly woke up one-by-one. Tylor was the last to wake up.
Squall places his hand against his forehead and asks, “Were we… all asleep?”
Zell rests his elbows on his knees. “Maybe someone released some sleeping gas? There’s lots of people who resent SeeD.”
Tylor thought to himself, That’s not it, Elione used her powers to make us look into the past.
Selphie looks around. “Am I missing anything? Anyone hurt?”
“…I don’t think so.” Squall says.
“What a relief!” Selphie leaned against the wall. “Hee! I had such a nice dream!”
Not me, Tylor thought, it was only supposed to be Laguna, Ward and Kiros in that dream. Why was that fourth person there? Eric… who is he, and why does he look just like me?
The train’s P.A. system turned on. “We will be arriving in Timber shortly. For those getting off, please be sure you have all your belongings.”
Selphie continued, “But seriously, Sir Laguna was sooo cool!”
Zell looked at her, surprised. “Hey! There was a Laguna in my dream, too! He’s a Galbadian soldier, right!?”
Squall added, “Laguna, Kiros, Ward, and Eric…”
“Huh!?” Zell said. “That’s it!”
“That’s what…?” Squall asks.
Zell looks over at Tylor. “What about you, Ty?”
Tylor sighs and says, “That Eric was a jerk.”
Squall says, “He looked just like you, Tylor.”
“I know…” He began to think, This isn’t right. The story is changing. Eric isn’t supposed to exist in this world. Then again, neither am I, and we look exactly the same. Are we somehow connected to each other? This can’t just be a coincidence, it’s just too much to be one.
“There’s no way we can understand this…” Selphie explains. “Let’s just concentrate on our first mission!” Tylor gets up and heads for the door. “Huh? Tylor, where are you going?”
“To get some air.” The door closed behind him before she could say anything else. “What’s going on?”
A few minutes the train emerged from the transcontinental tunnel connecting Galbadia and Balamb. The train pulled into One of Timber’s many stations. Timber is a large city with a natural blue colour in all the buildings. Timber is mostly a tourist city because of all the trains coming and going. Timber itself is connected to four other cities and towns via railroad, Dollet, Balamb, Fisherman’s Horizon, and Deling City, Galbadia’s capitol.
A man in a yellow vest, green pants and blue beanie hat approached them. “Oh, the forests of Timber sure have changed!”
“But the Owls are still around.” Tylor said, reciting the password.
The man nodded his head. “Welcome to Timber, sir. Come with me, sir.” They followed him to another train platform marked “Galbadia”. As they waited a yellow locomotive approached the platform. The door opened as it stopped and they all went in. The train let off a loud whistle before leaving the platform.
Inside they met a man Tylor remembered as Zone. He wore a blue, long-sleeved jacket and shorts. The man they met at the station is named Watts.
“So, you guys are SeeDs?” Zone asks.
Squall nods. “I’m the squad leader, Squall. This is Zell, Selphie and Tylor.”
Zone holds out his hand. “Nice to meet ya. I’m the leader of the Forest Owls.” Squall didn’t shake his hand. Zone went around and shook Tylor and Selphie’s hands.
Before he got to Zell Squall says, “So, let’s get on with it. What do we do?”
“Just take it easy.” He walks over to Watts. “Here, let me introduce you.” Zell sat down on a nearby set of stairs that led to the cabin. “Looks like you already met Watts.” Watts gives them a small wave. “I guess it’s just our princess then.”
“Rinoa.” Tylor says quietly to himself.
“What was that?” Zone asks.
“Nothing.”
“It’s the princess’ nap time, sir.” Watts explains.
Zone drops to his knees. “Ahh, man…” He gets back up and says to Squall. “Hey Squall, sorry, but could you go get the princess? She’s in the last room, up those stairs.” He points to the stairs Zell is sitting on. “Some of our other guys are in the room on the way. Ask’em if you get lost.”
“Like he’s going to get lost in a straight hall.” Tylor says.
Squall ignores Tylor’s comment and asks, “…Were we hired to run errands? Well?”
Zone took a step back. “A-Are you angry!?” he asks, scared.
Squall places his hand on his forehead, frustrated. “This is the last time for this kinda thing.” He says.
Zone’s stomach made a painful growl. He kneels in a corner and holds his stomach. “OwOwOuccchhh.” Squall sighs and goes up the stairs.
Five minutes had gone by and Squall hadn’t returned with Rinoa. “What’s taking him so long, sir?” Watts asks.
Zone turns to Tylor and asks, “Hey Tylor, can you go see what’s taking them so long?”
“Sure thing.” Tylor went up the stairs and through the hall. He found Squall and Rinoa talking in the last room. Angelo, Rinoa’s dog, is with them. Rinoa’s room is all pink, fitting for a princess he supposed.
As he entered Angelo barked happily and jumped on Tylor trying to like his face. “Whoa, easy boy! We’ve just met!” he laughed.
Rinoa and Squall looked at him. Rinoa asks, “Who are you?”
Tylor kneels beside Angelo and began to pet him to keep him from knocking him on the ground. “I’m with Squall. Zone sent me to see what the hold-up was.”
“Hey, I remember you from the party!” she says. “How did you know my name?”
Tylor gave her a confused look. “I’m… sorry. You must have me mistaken for someone else. I don’t remember seeing you at the party.”
“Really? But I’m pretty sure…” she trails off. “Let’s just go see the others.” She kneels down beside Angelo. Tylor steps away as she approaches. “I have some important work to do now. Be good, Angelo.” The dog made a small whimper as she left the room. “OK, let’s go.”
As Squall approached the door Tylor smiled at him. “What?” he asks.
“Oh, nothing.” Tylor assures him.
Squall sighs and says, “We weren’t doing anything.”
“Hey, I never said you were. That’s entirely your business.”
Squall shakes his head and leaves the room to meet up with the others. Tylor followed him with a big smile plastered on his face. He loved yanking Squall’s chain.
Squall starts introducing Rinoa to everyone once they get back to the others. He motions his hand to Zell. “This is Zell…” He moves on to Selphie. “…and Selphie…” He points to Tylor. “And you already met Tylor.”
“Hi everyone!” Rinoa approaches a door to another part of the train. “This way.” Everyone follows her in. Inside the thin room is a long table with a train set on it. The windows are closed and a bulletin board starts at the end of the room.
Zone addresses the group. “Just stand anywhere you want.” He starts to explain, “This is a full-scale operation. Our resistance, ‘The Forest Owls’, will be forever known in the pages of Timber’s independence!” Watts and Rinoa nods in approval. “Exciting, huh? It all started when we got a hold of top-secret info from Galbadia.”
Watts adds, “I got the info, sir!”
“There’s a VIP from Galbadia coming to Timber.”
“Super V-I-P!!!”
“The guy’s name is Vinzer Deling! Our archenemy, and the President of Galbadia.”
“Vinzer Deling is a scoundrel!!! He’s a dictator, not a president. Not even popular in Galbadia, sir!”
Rinoa says, “President Deling is taking a private train from the Galbadian capital.”
“Our plan is to…”
Selphie interrupts, “…Blow it to smithereens with a rocket launcher!?”
Both Zone and Watts take a step back. “Ahh…not quite…”
Tylor states jokingly, “A well aimed RPG would make things a little easier.”
From the other end of the room Zell exclaims, “So get to the point! Just tell us what to do!”
“Shall we begin?” Rinoa asks. Everyone nods in approval. “First, I’ll go over the model.” She approaches the table with the train set.
The set has two parallel tracks with a junction near the beginning. Further down the track there is another junction leading away from both tracks. The track in the middle has a four-pieced train, a green locomotive, two green security cars and a red, shabby looking passenger car between the two green ones. On the track farthest from the wall is a blue passenger car being pushed by a yellow locomotive. The yellow locomotive represents The Forest Owls’ base.
Rinoa explains, “The yellow train closest to Tylor is our base. We’re riding in it right now.”
“Quite obvious.” Tylor states.
“Right next to it is the ‘dummy car’. We made it to look just like the president’s car.” She points to the other train set. “Their train has three cars. First, there’s the locomotive followed by the 1st escort. The red car is the president’s car. Deling should be inside. The last car is the 2nd escort. Once we get on this one, we begin the operation. Our ultimate goal is to seize the president in his car using our base. That means, we’ll have to switch our ‘dummy car’ with the president’s car. We’ll use the two switch points leading up to Timber to carry out this operation.”
“OK, now I’m going to explain the procedures in seven steps.” Rinoa picks up the train set’s control panel and starts pressing buttons. As she explained Tylor played out the entire operation in his head. “We’ll get on the roof of the 2nd escort by jumping from our dummy car.”
Watts explains, “The 2nd escort is the only one that is equipped with sensors, sir.”
Rinoa continues, “A high tech officer is onboard. I’ll talk about the sensors later. We can move across the roof of the president’s car without worrying too much.”
“And why is that?” Tylor asks, already knowing what the answer is going to be.
Zone explains, “Deling hates the company of his guards and being surrounded by sensors, and keeps them away from his car.”
The train on the middle track begins to move. The president’s car and the 2nd escort uncouples from the rest of the train before reaching the first track junction. Rinoa continues, “We’ll have to complete the uncoupling before the 1st switch point. If we don’t…”
“BOOM! …Game over, right?” Selphie asks.
“…Yeah. So we’ll have to move fast. I’ll explain the uncoupling process later.” The trains on the table move around as Rinoa explains the plan. “After the car is uncoupled we’ll have the dummy car and our base move in. At this point, our train and their train will be linked and be moving together.” The trains move up the track towards the next junction point. “This is the last coupling. The process will probably be similar to the first one.” The base detaches from the dummy car and switches to the next track, the presidents car along with it. The 2nd escort detaches from the president’s car before reaching the junction and reattaches itself to the dummy car. “If all goes well, we should be able to escape with the president’s car. After that, we’ll return to our base and prepare to confront Deling. We have exactly five minutes to complete the seven procedures. If we fail, our train will collide with theirs at the switch point and it’ll be all over. Don’t forget that.”
“Reminds me of those old western movies I used to watch.” Tylor points out.
“Five minutes…?” Zell asks, “You sure that’s enough?”
Zone explains, “According to the simulation that we ran, it should take only three minutes to complete the operation. Piece of cake for SeeDs, right?”
“Of course!” Selphie exclaims, “Too easy!”
Squall stays silent.
Rinoa says, “OK, now let’s talk about how to avoid the sensors on the 2nd escort…Go ahead Watts.” As they talked the model trains start to run on their own, repeating the seven procedures each time.
“The guards have a sound sensor and a temperature sensor, sir. Any sound will trigger the sound sensor so move across very quietly, sir! The blue guard is carrying this sensor. The temperature sensor will go off if you remain stationary, sir! The guard in red is carrying this one, sir. When a guard opens the blind, that means he is checking the sensor, so be careful! The range on these sensors is equal to the length of one window. So keep an eye on the window below, sir.”
“That’s great and all,” Tylor says, “but how exactly are we supposed to know where these guards will be, let alone what colour they are?”
“Each of the escort cars has skylight windows. You will be able to see them through there. Just make sure they don’t see you, sir.”
Zell asks, “…So exactly how do you avoid ‘em?”
“Umm… basically, run or stop, depending on which guard is below you.”
“That’s about it for the sensors.” Rinoa states. “Next let’s talk about how to uncouple the escort cars.”
“Question…!” Selphie raises her hand. “How can you uncouple the cars from a moving train?”
“Umm…”
Tylor interrupts. “All trains have safety systems to ensure none of the cars become uncoupled during travel. So obviously we can’t uncouple them directly.”
“Right.” Zone explains, “Instead, we’ll have to tamper with the control system that manages the coupling. If we temporarily disable the circuit for the connection, the car will uncouple automatically. To disable it, we have to enter several codes.”
“…And we have the codes. Rinoa has them, sir!”
“I’ll be in charge of relaying the codes to Squall. Squall, you’ll slide down the side of the president’s car using a cable and enter the codes into the system.” She turns to Tylor. “In the meantime Tylor will be waiting at the 2nd escort.” She hands him a headset. “You’ll be in charge of entering the codes into the system there. Watts will be relaying the codes, so when he tells you slide down the side of the train and start entering the codes he gives you.”
Tylor nods. “Gotcha.”
She speaks to Squall and Tylor. “Now, I need you two to listen carefully. Each code is made up of numbers between one and four and has four digits: 2341 is an example. But the keypad won’t have numbers. Instead, it’ll have for buttons. The buttons are as follows: circle means one, X means two, square means three and triangle means four.”
Just like the Playstation controller. What are the odds of that? Tylor thinks to himself.
“For instance, if Watts or I relay the code 3124, you’ll push square, circle, X, triangle, in that order. You’ll have to be quick and precise. You’ll have about five seconds to enter each code. Otherwise, the code will change and the past entries will become invalid. So like we said, we have to enter all the codes to disable the connections. After we uncouple the cars, we’ll wait for the others to operate the rail switch. Remember, we only have five minutes to do everything, so make sure that you’re prepared. That’s all.” Rinoa finished.
“By the way,” Selphie says, “this model’s nice but the president’s car looks kinda shabby. Why is that?”
Watts explains, “Yeah, Rinoa made it. That’s why. We bought everything else at the gift store.”
Zell states, “Oh… I thought some kid made it. The paint job sucks, too.”
“Oh, shut up! I made it look like that on purpose. It represents my hatred towards Deling.”
“Hatred, eh…? Yeah…right.”
Selphie looks at the president’s car again. “It’s one of the… ugliest things that I’ve ever seen in my life. You must really hate him.”
“Are you guys finished!?” Rinoa asks. “Enough about the model! Can we get on with it now!?”
Everyone steps away from the table. Tylor and Zell start to stretch their arms. Rinoa explains, “So, the part is as follows. Squall and I will work on the president’s car’s coupling system, Tylor will work on the 2nd escort and receive the codes from Watts over the headset when it’s time, and Zell and Selphie will keep an eye out for guards. Any questions?”
Tylor raises his hand. “You seem to have this all planned out. But, what if the enemy is expecting us to kidnap the president? What if the guy we’re going after is a decoy?” Little did anyone else know, that’s what will really happen.
“Umm…” Rinoa thought for a minute. “There’s no way they could have found out. We were very careful when we got the information.”
“And where exactly did you get this information?”
Before Rinoa could answer the train made a small shake. Light shone through the closed shutters on the window. “We’re moving again… I’ll go take a look. We’ll be approaching the target soon so get ready.” She left the room with Watts and Zone.
Tylor crossed his arms. Well, looks like things are about to get started. Won’t they be surprised when they find out the truth?
Eight minutes later they found themselves on the roof of the dummy car. The car is being pushed by The Forest Owls’ base just like in the simulation. The train sped through the forest beside another set of tracks. Everyone had to stay down, if they stood up the momentum of the train would pull them off. Further up the tracks they could see the president’s train getting closer.
Rinoa had to shout in order to be heard over the roaring wind. “Everyone, over here!” They followed her to the end of the dummy car where they slowly approached the target. “We’ll catch up with the 2nd escort soon! Let’s get ready! We should time our jumps well after we catch up to them to save some time! From now we have exactly… five minutes to complete the operation! Let’s try to use every second!” They train finally caught up to the 2nd escort. Rinoa jumped and landed on the car’s roof. Squall went next, followed by Zell, Selphie, and lastly Tylor.
Once on the other train they sped across the roof to the president’s car. Tylor was about half way across when he saw a blue Galbadian soldier through the skylight window. Tylor stopped moving when he opened a nearby window. He said something to someone across the hall and closed the window. As soon as he could Tylor ran the rest of the length of the car. Squall, Rinoa and Zell had already moved on ahead. Selphie stayed behind.
“Tylor, Rinoa said to wait here until Watts gives us the signal to start! When that happens I’ll watch for guards while you enter the codes!”
Tylor took the headset Rinoa gave him out of his pocket and placed it over his ears. “Understood!” Selphie handed him the cable he would use to slide down the side of the train. He secured it to the roof, tied the belt around his waist and waited for further instruction. He kept a hand pressed against one of the headset’s speakers so he could hear Watts when the time came.
The 1st escort suddenly detached itself from the president’s car. The Forest Owls’ base sped by on the other tracks and slipped between the two cars. It slowed its speed to catch the president’s car, once that was done it sped up to attach the dummy car to the 1st escort.
Tylor shouts to Selphie, “Looks like Squall did his job, now it’s up to us to finish it!”
“Right!”
Half a minute later Tylor heard Watts’ voice over the static of the headset. “I’ve got the codes, sir! Get ready to enter them!”
Tylor replied, “Understood!” He turns to Selphie, “Watch the guards! I’m going down!”
Selphie nods and watches through the skylight. Tylor keeps a firm grip on the rope as he slides down the side of the train. He stops just under the car’s door and sees a small latch. He opens it and finds a control panel with the four buttons Rinoa told them about.
Tylor speaks into the headset. “Alright, Watts! Give me the first code!”
“The first code is 4412, sir!”
In less than a second Tylor pressed all the buttons perfectly, triangle, triangle, circle, X. “The first code’s in!”
“The second code is 3121, sir!”
“Tylor!” Selphie shouts from above. “Here comes a guard!”
Quickly, Tylor types in the second code: square, circle, X, circle. He presses a button on the belt and pulls himself back up to the roof. The second he made it to safety the guard looked out the window. A moment any later and he would have been caught. Once the guard left he slid beck down. “OK, Watts! Give me the last code!”
“The code is 2341, sir!”
The cable holding Tylor suddenly snapped. He grabbed onto the edge of the open latch before falling off the train. The drop caused him to slam against the side of the train, knocking the headset off his head.
Selphie gasped as she saw him go. “Tylor!!!”
Tylor grabs the edge of the latch with his other hand and puts his foot on the small train-side ladder. He yells to Selphie, “Do your job!”
Selphie winces but goes back to watching the guards.
Tylor remembers the code, 2341. He quickly types it into the system: X, square, triangle, circle. The control panel let off a successful beep and began to close the latch. Tylor grabbed the bottom of the door before the latch closed on his hand. Selphie looks over the edge of the roof and shouts, “Another guard is coming!”
Tylor shouts back, “The last code is entered! Get with the others!”
“But what about you!?”
“Don’t worry about me! Just go before the car uncouples!!!”
Without another word Selphie leaves. Tylor quickly tries to think of a way up the train. He sees another Galbadian soldier looking out of the window. If Tylor stays perfectly still the guard won’t be able to see him. After a few seconds the guard leaves.
Tylor looks to his right and sees the broken cable dangling just out of reach. If he could grab it he could use it to pull himself back up. He pulls himself up, carefully so he doesn’t slip and fall. He places his foot on a nearby piece of metal sticking out from under the train. He reaches for the cable hanging just inches away from his hand.
The train shook abruptly, causing him to lose his footing. He grabbed the cable just before he fell under the train. He held on for dear life as the car began to uncouple. He plants his feet into the side of the train and climbs up using the rope. As he lifts himself back on the roof he sees the president’s car slowly moving away from the 2nd escort. Without thinking he runs and jumps onto the car. The jump was a little further than he expected, Tylor ended up having to grab onto the end of the car.
Tylor looks over his shoulder at the 2nd escort. The car he was holding onto switched tracks. He saw the tracks switch back as the 2nd escort kept going. It slides back into place behind the dummy car.
Tylor uses all his strength to pull himself up. He makes his way across the president’s car and into The Forest Owls’ base. Everyone was waiting for him inside the locomotive.
Selphie shouts, “Tylor! You made it!”
“When I lost contact for you I feared the worst, sir!” Watts exclaims.
Zell runs up to him and grabs his shoulders. “Are you alright, man!? You nearly fell off the goddam train!!!”
Tylor pushes Zell’s arms away. “Calm down, Zell. I’m just fine.”
“You sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. Now, we’ve still got a job to do, in case you’ve forgotten.”
Zone states, “Finally… We’ve waited so long for this encounter with Vinzer.”
Watts turns to Squall. “Was that perfect perfect, sir!? Amazing, sir! You’re the best, sir!”
“Well then…” Rinoa looks as though she’s about to say something important.
“Leave the intelligence up to me, sir!” Watts states.
Zone’s stomach makes a painful growl as he grabs it and looks away. “OwOwOuccchhh.” He runs into the room with the train set.
Rinoa shakes her head and points to Tylor and the others. “You four! It’s time to begin ‘serious negotiations’ with the president!”
“Serious negotiations, eh?” Tylor asks. “Guess I should get my swords.” He goes into the same room as Zone to retrieve his swords. He left them in this room before the operation so they wouldn’t weigh him down.
Together they all entered the president’s car to confront Vinzer Deling. Candle-like lamps on the walls light the cabin. A bar is situated in the far corner of the cabin. Vinzer Deling is sitting in the only couch in the car.
Rinoa approaches him. “…President Deling! As long as you don’t resist, you won’t get hurt…”
The president replies in a deep voice, “And if I do resist… What would you do…? Young lady?”
Tylor pushes his way past Rinoa and pulles Deling to his feet by his shirt. “What we will do is hurt you!”
Rinoa yells at him, “Tylor! What do you think you’re doing!?”
“Stop this right now, Tylor!” Squall shouts.
Tylor ignores them and uses a Fire spell to create a ball of fire in his hand. He pushes Deling against the wall and holds the fire close to his face. “Why don’t you tell us why you’re here instead of Vinzer himself? Double ganger!”
“What the hell is he talking about?” Zell asks.
Selphie suggests, “Maybe he’s gone crazy?”
The president starts laughing in a low voice. “Very perceptive, boy. How did you know I’m not the real Vinzer Deling?”
Tylor let out a small laugh of his own. “I’m psychic.” He holds the fire closer to his face. “Now, tell us why Mr. Deling would need a double.”
The body double smiled fiendishly. “All these rumours about the many resistance groups in Timber. You pass along a little false information and they fall for it… How pathetic… Seems like there are only amateurs around here.”
Rinoa gasps, “…Amateurs!?”
Tylor tightened his grip. “You should watch your mouth. I can think of four different ways to kill you in this state alone and you wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.”
“So what do you have in store for me now that I have resisted? Are you going to kill me?”
“You guessed it.” Tylor answers.
“For being such amateurs you are quite amusing.” He grabs each of Tylor’s arms. “How dare you insult the president!!!” With one strong motion he lifts Tylor off his feet and throws him into the bar in the corner. Bottles smashed all over the place as Tylor flew into the liquor cabinet.
The impostor’s body begins to shake violently. Black smoke pours out of his body as he transforms into something inhuman. The impostor turns into liquid and sinks into the floor. Light shoots up from the floor like spotlights as Vinzer Deling’s body double transforms into a towering zombie. Its left arm is much larger than his right and is formed like a giant club. Blue veins ran over its skin here and there and its organ hung loosely from its stomach.
“What the…?” Squall shouts, “Tylor! We need your help!” But Tylor was knocked unconscious from the trip he took into the bar.
The monster shot a sickly yellow liquid at Zell. It covered his body and caused him to lose some of his sight. “Ah, sick! Did he just puke on me!? What the hell? I can’t see!!!”
“Selphie!”
“I’m on it, Squall!” Selphie faces Zell and casts Esuna. Zell’s body is engulfed in a blue light. All the liquid the zombie shot at him evaporated.
The enemy casts a spell on Selphie. White streams of light surround her, a few moments later the light enters her body. Squall asks, “Selphie, are you alright?”
Selphie tries to say something. Her mouth is moving but no words are coming out.
The enemy cast another spell on Zell while they weren’t looking. Zell’s body colour darkened. He fell to his knees. “Oh man, I don’t feel so good…”
“Hang on, Zell.” Squall casts the spell Cure on Zell.
“OWOWOW!!! That stings! Are you trying to kill me!?”
“It was a Cure spell, it wasn’t supposed to sting!”
Squall decides to cast Esuna on both his partners, but the zombie beat him to it and cast another spell, this time on Squall.
Squall’s body changes to a bright red colour as his blood increases to boiling hot temperatures. “I’LL KILL YOU!!!” He runs up to the enemy and tries to attack, but the zombie backhand slaps him into the side of the train, knocking him unconscious.
Once Zell and Selphie were out of the way it approached Rinoa who was standing behind everyone else during the fight, trying not to get in their way.
Tylor’s vision came back to him in a blur. He found himself lying on the floor in a pile of broken glass shards. The first thing he saw when he woke up was an expensive looking bottle of liquid. I picked it up and read the label. “…Phoenix Down…”
Rinoa’s scream caught his attention. He saw Squall, Selphie and Zell lying on the floor. Just by looking at their bodies he saw they were suffering from different status ailments. Selphie was suffering from Silence, Zell was suffering from Zombie, and Squall was suffering from Berserk. The enemy had finished with them and is now going after Rinoa.
Knowing zombies were weak against curative magic and items Tylor got to his feet and threw the bottle at the creature. It smashed open when it hit its back. The liquid turned into a heavenly pink and orange light. The zombie cries out in pain as it slowly dissolves into nothing.
As Tylor went around to heal everyone he said, “Man, you guys went through all this trouble when just one item could have done the job.”

THAT TICKLES!!
