The evil fiend was eying the bowl-my bowl! My home!
It's fatal doom-sound (rumbly and low) emanated from its entire body. I swam as far down as I could, and hid underneath the "rocks" those foolish humans thought looked real.
It stuck its paw in, and its toes separated as the claws began to protrude. I could not move - indeed, I was paralyzed with fear.
Out of one I could spot the cruel humans pointing and laughing at the scene. Oh, yes, please do enjoy the final act in this tragic play that is my life!
The paw moved closer and closer still, waving about wildly. At one time, the leftmost claw almost caught my fin!
Having a short attention span, it was not long before the feline decided to remove its paw from my home (Amazing! Nothing was damaged!) and start sniffing the rear end of another of its kind. I was safe again - for now. |

*looks at stove* Steam is rising from the pot.
*shrugs, and then returns its attention to the bowl where it observes a long and narrow strand of brown stuff* It's brown algea, and it's slimey.
There are footsteps, and it reacts by turning around from the steady vibrations. The pot is now bowling.
"Dear?!" a women hollers to her husband who is reading the newspaper in the den. "The water is bowling! Time to eat!"
"What is on the menu, hun?" the man calls back.
"Goldfish! That horrid bowel hasn't been changed in four months. Time for dinner. Let's go!"
"Coming!" the man calls again. |
