Well, I'm generally into the emo music stuff, ie. My Chemical Romance.
I do tend to like all kinds of rock, such as Lostprophets, Green Day, The Killers, The Fray...
Stuff like P!nk, and Snow Patrol, they're good, and I have the odd guilty pleasure... *cough*Mika*cough*
There are other things that I'd rather jump off a bridge than admit I listen to, ao this'll do for now!

Oh wow. I was going to put something that looked probably... too close to what KazSmurf just said to post it again. That's like EXACTLY what I listen to! Coincidental much? So anything he just said plus Flyleaf and Three Days Grace.
I refuse to listen to rap. Hip hop is okay, but on rare occasions. There are some songs that my mom knows better than me, but it's only scary because it's pop songs. |

I like metal/roack/industrial/christian. And a lot of import.
I tend to be listening to a lot of Despairs Ray, Skillet and Dir en Grey at the moment, although I do have a big soft-spot for Relienk K ^^ |

I don't like country, and i avoid christian (even if my cousin is in a christian rock band...whats up this that) anyway i like some of the popular stuff all ammerican rejects, killers and so on but i prefur smooth music that usually happy or uplifting music that is played softly, i will mention a few popular bands i sometimes lisen to as well. Here is a list a bit too big most likely, but also missing many:
Beatles
Grateful Dead,
The kooks
jack johnson,
barenaked ladys,
The flaming lips,
fountians of wayne,
pepper,
red hot chile peppers,
plain white t's,
matt costa,
afro man, bloodhound gang,
a few blackeyed peas and outcast,
kanye,
death cab for cutie,
train,
the decemberists
Bright Eyes (just heard him recently, hes only 16 capparently and BRILLIANT)
and postal service.
the beach boy's
Dexy's Midnight Runners
Cake
Not in any particular order, the beatles is my favorate band my favorate song by them is the first one i heard, Maxwell's Silver Hammer. My three other favorate songs are O' Valincia (the decemberists), Hey there Delilah (plain white t's) and uh... its a tie between about 7 songs. |

I feel rather out of place seeing all the above responses, but oh well. ^_^ My favorite type of music is definitely instrumental, soundtrack music. It is my primary inspiration for writing and my favorite genre of music.
My favorite composers are:
Hans Zimmer
Alan Menken
James Horner
Mark Mancina
Harry Gregson-Willians
John Williams
Michael W. Smith (he did compose one instrumental album - tis amazing)
Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty
Favorite bands/artists:
Avalon
Michael W. Smith |
